with all the Jags being hurt by the temperatures in Fla? The thing is that all three Jaguar players have passed out, or what you has happened, in temperatures in the high 80s. Not the high 90s.

Are these guys just not going into TC in shape? And then they work theirselves to hard? Just wondering what you guys think is the problem....

I would say their coach is a tirant but they got rid of Coughlin right?

I'd have to guess that these guys just were not prepared.

Yes Tex. They have the Panthers old DC as their coach. Jack Del Rio I believe...

#1- it was the UPPER 80's. 89 and 88 degrees...and some days were into the 90's. The only reason it's not hotter is due to the ocean breeze.
#2- it's HEAT INDEX that is important, not the temp. The humidity is consistantly in the 80's and 90's down there, and the heat indexs will top 100 every day.
#3- the real problem is out of shape players that get fat in the offseason. Most of the problems occur with the heavier men, but there is a question to Donald hayes and why he passed out. I don't know enough to comment, but I was never impressed with his work ethic to begin with. I will assume it is true before anything.
You guys should try 3 a days in the blazing sun with high humidity and see what happens. I've learned not to doubt any of them. (of course ephedra could be in their systems too, that will drastically affect how you handle the heat.)

Out of shape ???? I thought that was something that really didn't happen anymore. This not like the old days - conditioning is a year round thing. And with the event that occurred in MI last year, all the NFL (and college) coaches have been told to take extra caution ......... No I think there's alot more to this.

3 a days? I didnt know they did 3 practices a day. No... I have to lean toward the humidity reason...(that is the only one that makes any sense)... but why not the problems in Miami?

Yes, out of shape..you think Kory Stringer died because he was in peak physical shape????? That was freakin minnesota. It was humid there, and he was out of shape.
Fact is, heat exhaustion happens every day, on and off the practice field. There are just better be SMART people around to tell these guys when to stop before it turns into heat stroke or worse.

Humidity is clearly a problem, but i think a rookie coach can hurt this too (coupled with all the factors I have already mentioned). Back in the day they were run like horses with no water, Del Rio may subscribe to similar measures.
Wandstat (sp?) probably knows how to practive better, after all, he's been around it for years.
