Positives from Panthers game

Not many, but it is the first game though. I'll try anyway.

1.) The Coles long catch is the play of the game for sure. If he doesn't stumble he scores without a doubt.

2.) Ramsey was cool. His stats will not show the passes on target that were simply dropped. All in all he did well.

3.) R. Johnson looked better tonight then he has most of camp. He was flushed out of the pocket all night and he made quick decisions, something he isn't used to getting props for.

4.) I give Cloman props for playing through the obvious injury that he suffered earlier in the game. He is clearly hungry to stick here, and I'd give him a spot right now just on heart alone.

Couldn't find much of anything to say positive about the D. LaVar says that they toned it down to not show what they plan to do when it counts, and we can only hope that he was telling the truth.

Have to agree with you Kenny. Not much to be happy with tonight. Trying to think of something to add to your list but not having any luck....

I can tell you one thing that I hope we do do. (LOL) Keep an eye out for a Punter once they start getting cut.

I have to ammend #1.

The number one positive from tonights game is IT WAS A PRESEASON GAME AND THAT IT DOESN"T COUNT!!!

There were a few standouts, McCullough for one, but Sonny & George say he's a long shot to make the team.
I saw Lott make a few good plays, same with Ladairis Jackson
Cecere gets the sack.

Who's #88? I liked that he got hit so hard his helmet flew off but he didn't loose the ball

You guys should have heard the Panthers commentators on that play. They were talking so much junk from the beginning to the end, that its not funny. Kept saying that Cooper was a head hunter and Royal was lucky to hold onto the ball. Asked he got the cob webs out yet from preseason. Punks.

Made the comments all night long about Spurrier being "Captain Hook" because he pulls QBs so fast. Then made a joke about Woeful being brought back.....

I can handle losing the game. But having to listen to those two jerks the entire game just about had me throwing my TV thur the window.:banghead:

I can't stand NBC's coverage of the game - sucks all together. They always mess up the players names and it drives me crazy. Only positive for me was that I got to watch it using my TIVO so the game only lasted less than 2 hours.

i feel bad for you carmike. we better improve by august 23 when we play the raisins, or else im gonna have to hear all that crap from raisins fans around here.

as for the positives.....the only things i can add to the short list are....

1.) no major injuries
2.) the pressure from the outside D lineman wasnt bad.

yeah, i know what you mean ben....i like george michaels, sonny j and ken harvey, but they always mess up. you cant entirely blame them though, with so many players, some guys have to share numbers. thats why i have my walkman set to 106.7 FM and listened to sam huff, frank herzog and mark may.

Well Guys the only real positive I got from tonight was that Ken HArvey was added to the announce team and he said he was suitin up and coming back... too bad he was joking. I also clean out the refrig tonight 2 less six packs or O3 in there now, so if I start to ramble you will know why :D

I'm going hold out making judgment agains SS right now. This was the first preseason game. He didn't show a lot of his play book. Of course he's not going to show a team we play again this season a lot of our plays. We ran a very bland offense tonight.

Spurrier can't get a break. If we score too many points during preseason, he's running up the score. If our offense sputters, he's not a good coach.....I don't understand it...
