In their ongoing effort to put The Onion out of business the religious right wing and the GOP bring you this little nugget of gold: A reverend who introduced Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist during a breakfast with other pastors Monday said the Lord came to him in a dream two years ago and told him Crist would be the state's next governor.

The Rev. O'Neal Dozier said that before the dream he did not know Crist, nor had Crist made known his plans to run for governor.

"The Lord Jesus spoke to me and he said 'There's something I want you to know,'" said Dozier, pastor of the Worldwide Christian Center in Pompano Beach. "'Charlie Crist will be the next governor of the state of Florida.'"

Since then, Dozier has spent time with Crist and talked with him at length about policy. He told the group that Crist would be uncompromising in his Christian faith.

"I introduce to you, as the Lord Jesus has said, the next governor of the state of Florida, Charlie Crist," Dozier said.

Crist's first words were, "Well, as they say, the praise doesn't get any higher." Source (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=1991439)

REMINDER: These people run the most powerful country in the world. Tomorrow's agenda: Nuke Peru to bring on the Rapture. See you there!

So if Crist ends up NOT being FL's next governor, does that prove Jesus didn't exist?

No, it proves that it is the end of times and that the anti-christ is walking among us.

The Passion of the Crist.

Beat me to it. Speaking of religiously unstable Florida candidates, has anyone else heard that Katherine Harris' Senate campaign is being run by some evangelical christian mystic? Thats the word down here.

Thats the word down here.Latest poll, out today, has Harris losing by 30 points to Bill Nelson, so I hope this mystic of hers has convinced her of the power of prayer. And miracles.

By the way, this isn't the same Charlie Crist who played for the Atlanta Hawks and (I think) Florida State, is it? I mean, that guy was only about 5'7", could udnk with the best, but I didn't think he could walk on water.

Just remembered; the B-ball player was Criss, not Crist. Ignore my feeble attempt at humor.
