I do, how about you? If he would have helped or not, he has to be getting a kick out of this

He's the one out of a job. He wouldn't have made any difference tonight.

I am not sure I agree Mike but even if he wouldn'thave helped, it has to make him happy and even give him some leverage, if we talk to him

I don't think he has any leverage. The highest $ amount I've heard offered to him was a little less then $1mil from the Lions. He still should have taken what was offered here. I still think the FO did the right think regardless of how the d-line looked tonight.

Yea but Vinny said that offer would stay on the table so I would not be surprised to see him back

There is no way they will give him that deal IMO. It would be reduced, almost as to say "you should have taken it when you had the chance". At least that's what I think they would do....

Snyders pride will not allow him back. Atleast I hope not. He hasn't been the answer in the previous years. What makes you think he'd be the answer now?
He sucks.

I hope they do that Kenny but I see this FO going into panic mode

Last night means squat.
Our run defense was ranked bottom 20 every season he was here except for last season. And that was more to do with Daryl Gardener than Wilkenson.
But now all of a sudden, this guy is a savior?
Please.

Sure you can man. You didn't have to see this game to have an opinion on this. You can look at the box score, see that Davis had 7 rushes for 74 yards, and make the assumption that our run defense stunk it up.
Then, you can look at this thread, and deduce that some are calling for Wilkenson to be signed, even though during his tenure, that was the NORM for this defense.
Then you can say what I did, that Wilkenson is no savior. :D

One guy I did not notice at the stadium, but now see watching my tape, is Bernard Holsey. He got pressure on Peete a few times, just missing a sack one play, forcing a bad throw another and hitting a RB in the backfield. Now that I see the tape, he was very active. i feel a little better. Oh, and Noble is completely mauled, held and chop-blocked. Most times taking up two blockers. So I hold the remainder of the line and LBs accountable for the Panthers' O-Line sucess.

What we were missing was clearly a presence in the middle. Im not sure Big Daddy is a svior, but he certainly is a presence. Cerrato said that the offer to him would remain on the table and I believe that, but I think Big Daddy will let his pride get in the way and take less money to play elsewhere. With that said, I am pretty sure we will see a NFL Starter brought in sometime between now and Sept 4, either through trade or waiting for someone to get cut. Either way, something must be done. The play from teh tackles Stunk last night.

He must be a presence that never presented himself while wearing our colors before.
Our run defnese looked like it did last night every year of his tenure here.

On one of Davis' long runs, Bowen missed a tackle. In Rat Boys picture he posted earlier, you can see Bowen on the ground losing control of Davis' leg.
One more to think about is that our starting LBs were only on the field for 1 or 2 series.
We'll get there...

Nobody said he was a savior or anything of the sort. Who out there would be any better than Wilk?

OK guys chill out, never did I saw Big Daddy was a savior, come on now, I am not smart but not thta dumb either. Big Daddy right now as far as I know is probably hte best free agent DT out there. That the fact he was playing the leverage game by not taking less money thinking we could not afford to lose him, well last night proved that we need some help and what I am saying is he is the best free agent right now. If there is someone (might be) better I am missing him. My laughing comment was meant that in his own mind he would have made this dline better and I think he would have. Man we were on pace for Davis to get 300 plus yards on the ground :D That said I think we will make a move but I am ot sure which way it will be

Okay, let me say this another way.
If Big Daddy is the best DT out there right now, then my vote would be to stand pat and address it next offseason.
He sucks period, and offers NOTHING that will help us IMHO. When has he in the past? Why would he now?
I hate when we have one bad game, and then make some frantic signing of a player that won't help anyway. And that is exactly what signing him right now would be.
Sorry, just my opinion.
