View Full Version : Every Campbell play on video...

...from the 2005 SEC Championship Game.
The creator of these videos provides almost every passing/rushing attempt by Jason Campbell, some with replays, apparently to showcase JC in a big-game situation. TD's, incompletes, rushes, WR drops, sacks, scrambles, turnovers, big first-down plays, improvs...it's all here for you to see. None of the other parts of the game, just JC's plays.
I personally think this particular game was an important factor for Gibbs when deciding on drafting JC - lots of pressure from Tennessee's Dline and especially linebackers (Omar Gaithier was everywhere!), and JC showed poise and resilience while getting roughed up alot - shows impressive scrambling/rushing ability (forgot he runs a 4.5/40!) and excellent pocket awareness/presence. He really is accurate, delivers a great deep ball, and although he had an int from a tipped ball and a fumble on a broken play, he was otherwise stellar in capping off Auburn's perfect season.
Just a little something to lead us into the start of Minicamp tomorrow...:)

The comment on the "arc", reminds of the other things I have read and heard = "distance", "leads the receiver properly" "safe zone for receiver to catch (without getting decappitated)", runs and covers the ball instinctively" "doesn't quit on plays" (takes advantage instantly of defensive miscues on penalty and position!").
This is not a LONG TERM conversion to NFL play here. He is faster afoot than McNabb, shown the ability to raise the offense up, while having FULL control. I like his look, just want to see those preseason games now!!! :)

nice. Sometimes it seems like receivers have to come back or pause to catch the ball. I really like how he has pocket presence but then he looks really smooth and comfortable when he rolls out of the pocket. And he certainly isn't scared to run with the ball and takes some hits without blinking.
He looks real good in playaction passes.

I think I saw 1 bad throw in that first half clip. It's gonna be great finally having a QB that can move around.

He looked good but that was one awful Tennessee pass defense. There is nothing like that in the NFL, not even in SF.
