Titans | Hill watching film to improve
Wed, 21 Jun 2006 06:02:44 -0700
Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans CB Reynaldo Hill spent lots of his time in the offseason watching film of Denver Broncos CB Champ Bailey, Baltimore Ravens CB Samari Rolle, Atlanta Falcons CB DeAngelo Hall and Washington Redskins CB Shawn Springs. "I have nothing else to do so I watch film and try to take a little something from each one. I want to try and mirror my game off them,'' Hill said. "That's what I am trying to get to — I want to be one of the NFL's best, too. To learn how they play the game, that's key to me.''
Oh yeah, Springs shouldn't go to the pro-bowl. Whatever....

Next season when Reynaldo Hill fakes a hamstring injury while getting burned you'll know where he learned that from.

If he gives up a 120 yard game to TO, then i know where he learned that. Looking at you Deangelo.

And for some reason that was the game when the media lifted Deangelo up as one of the premiere corners in the game. That really confused me.

nice that springs gets that kind of prop from another young player..hopefully he will have a healthy year.. if he does the additional pressure from williams defenses should help him get at least 5 or 6 picks.. that should get him probowl recognition

one of the best things that can happen for us this year is that if shawn springs stays healthy for the whole season....

A healthy shawn springs is huge for us. His first year here he was a beast. 6 picks and 6 sacks, that's absurd. He and Rogers can be dominant together.

yeah, springs is a complete CB and will do whatever it takes for the team to win. cover, blitz, support the run, get some turnovers. i think carlos has a good mentor to learn from. he took his bumps while playing well most times last year, now its time for him to go out and show what he can do. i was excited when rogers fell to us in the draft...

Springs has good size for a corner and he's physical which is the combination Williams demands from his corners. Rogers is clearly the better pick so far between him, Rolle and Pacman.

rolle played well at times last year, but like rogers he was hampered by injuries that slowed his development. but even in limited action, they were both better than pacman. im so glad we didnt get stuck with pacman IF the coaches were intent on drafting a corner. i would of been happy with rolle, but im excited about rogers. a lot of our guys on defense will be in their third year under gregg williams, we havent had consistency like this in a long time. even the second year guys have a good feeling of what to expect from this unit and what williams and his assistants expect them to do. lets just hope the new pieces fit in well. hopefully springs will school kenny wright on the defense as well, and maybe rogers can even pick up on some stuff from wright as well since he has some experience in the league
