Okay, let's not dwell on the Carolina game. It's over, the coaches will address it, let's move on to NE.
So, who thinks the starters will be left in until they produce some points this game?

I think the second pre- seas. game is still a bit early for the coaches to risk the starters getting hurt. I'd bet that they leave the starters on offense in for about 1/2 the first q, maybe the whole first q. The starting D, however, should play most of the first half IMHO...

I think they get a whole quarter

I see the starters playing the entire first quarter again. I wouldn't mind seeing Ramsey playing 1 1/2 quarters personally. But, I don't see that happening since he wont want Ramsey to be in the game with the second unit of the OL.
I hope our starting D will get more playing time as well. Atleast the entire 1st quarter.

I'm afraid the basic game plan will be the same. It's will be a matter of how well they play as a unit. If things are not going well again the starting units may get one or two extra series. There are several backups that need more evaluation after last week and I mean that in a good sense.

Yes, but they also have to get in football shape. That means getting ready to play a whole game?

I'd stick to a pre-arranged plan. Starters should get a quarter or a quarter-and-a-half. That's it.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rob Johnson get some extra playing time. Anything to keep Woeful off of the field.
I wonder why they didn't get Hamdan in the game the other night? I was looking forward to see this kids arm strength everyone keeps talking about.
BTW, Patrick, can you please check your PM box. Thanks....

i think they will get the about another 1/2 of a quarter. its normally the 3rd game where the starters play like 2 1/2 qtrs. i hate to go back to the panthers game but i think if the guys dont drop 3 passes early, we score and spurrier is happy. i think he does want to see them at least put a FG on the board w/ the starters.

I am glad that Spurrier is throwing on short yardage now and not getting those 4th and 1 etc..Its better for him to be reminded that he needs to fricking try and run it on those short yardages now before the season starts.
