I have been hearing a lot about the chances of the wizards trying to sign Larry Brown to the new coach. I was wondering what everyone thinks of this situation.
I personally dont like it because it may break up the chemistry of this team.

hopefully it wont happen. i mean im not big on the NBA, but is the risk worht the reward for hiring brown? he doesnt seem to wanna coach, doesnt stay anywhere, and hes not gonna win unless he already has some talent around him.

I would hate to see Eddie go at this point. I think he has the team on the right path and would like to see what he can accomplish here.

My sentiments exatcly. Brown is and always will be a vagabond, I don't think he would be good for a franchise that is already on the rise. Jordan deserves more time, he's done as well as can be expected witht he tools he has to work with. You really think any other coach could have milked much else out of the team last year? Maybe they could have got out of the first round, but certainly no farther than that.

I don't like it... He wouldn't be a good fit on our team at all.

I haven't heard anything like this. From what I've heard is that Abe Pollin has already told Eddie Jordan not to worry about his job security. Also Larry Brown cannot take any job until an agreement is reached between him and the Knicks regarding his contract. Lastly the most likely destination for Larry would likely be Charlotte where they have just hired Michael Jordan (UNC Connection to Larry Brown) and also Bernie Bickerstaff (is both coach and GM) has said he is looking to step down within the next year or two.

I'm gonna stop watching Wizards basketball if they don't resign Eddie Jordan. The man has done an excellent job.

I haven't heard this AT ALL. I'd like to see a link to somewhere where this is mentioned.
That said, it would be moronic to pay this man any money. He may be a hall of fame coach but he has two teams paying him to do nothing right now and that is two too many. Fade away Larry, fade away.

Call me a Jordan fan (Eddie) that is, but it would be a huge mistake not to keep Eddie

Second to Last Paragraph rumors the Wizards or Warriors as possible destinations for him.

it was on sports talk 980 several days ago. Its only speculation because Larry brown was fired and the wizards front office has done anything to tell us that they are going to stick with Eddie.

You said you have been hearing a lot. That's quite a stretch from some blowhard on 980 tossing it out there.

No freakin' way Eddie Jordan goes anywhere, they'd burn down the Verizon Center in a hearbeat! There's no problem with their coach! Wizards need a dominate Center period. Heywood's more of a fill in or a big forward. All the others are depth. They need a consistant big man in the middle because the rest of the roster is in place!

I think this would be a very very very bad idea. LB has lost respect around the league with the inability to co-exist with his players. His second bad departure from a team in two years. Theres no doubt he's probaly one of the few briliant minded coaches out there in the NBA, but that doesn't mean his will listen to him.
I heard that Jordan and the Bobcats maybe looking for his services.
PLUS, Eddie Jordan is a good coach. He's realy never got credit for taking the Nets to the Finals becasue he was an assistant.

Well, any chance he'd get credit for that anymore is gone. They got there thanks to their defense and that's been the problem since he came to D.C.
