Ok, uanimous that Randy Thomas won the best OG in the nFC East. Now we need to select the other slot of OG.

kinda tough between chris snee and shawn andrews, but i think chris snee is holding his own quite well without as much talent around him that andrews has.

Hard to argue against the Guard that helped Tiki run for over 1800 yds last year.
Snee gets my vote and as long as Coughlin is his coach and father-in-law, he will play hard.
I wouldn't wish that kind of pressure on anybody, lol.

unless i read things wrong, they had a child before they ended up getting married. now THAT would be pressure for snee:lol1:

I voted Snee, but this is Andrews spot to lose in the coming years, unless Dockery puts it all together. Pay attention Dock, we should have a clean sweep on this one.

i put andrews, because i felt like the eagles line had a lot to put up with last year pass blocking 90% of the time. snee is pretty good, but tiki made him look better, and you only need to go back to their playoff game against carolina to see how well the gints oline did against the very best

I picked the wrong guard for NY, (should have been Snee),but I knew it was one of them. Guy's got his act together in the interior of that line.

Come on hR, lets take a closer look at things. Dockery should not be winning this. There is homerism, and then there is this.

andrews certainly has potential. but lik dockery has yet to get his act together. snee has actually played well from the start and should continue to get better

agree totally... there were many who thought dockery was not even worthy of a roster spot before this past year. he has certainly come along, but to say he is the second best guard in the nfc east ? please. homerism for certain..

its bigger homerism than randy thomas as the only vote getter in the best guard poll

yes, it is honestly.. randy IS easily the best guard in the nfc east... we know it as do a lot of other folk. i do not think you could find a consensus anywhere else that has dockery as the number 2 in the nfc east.. even amongst most people here

there are at least three guards on that list that i would take over dock. if this was the same time last year that number would be double.

im not doubting thomas as the best guard, i just figured SOMEONE(troll perhaps?) would vote for someone like andrews or snee as the best.

i was surprised it was unanimous as well, but RT deserves it. I think that this poll will eventually normalize and Dock will fall far behind Snee and Andrews (my vote).

Come on people. Who really thinks our worst starting lineman is better than any in the rest of the division?
This is pathetic, I vote to make these polls public.

I'm going Marco Rivera. He had a very off year last year, but he's still one of the best.

he was until he had back surgery. he clearly wasn't totally healed last year and it remains to be seen whether he will be this year...

How can you still be one of the best if you're coming off an off year? Especially if you're coming off back surgery, and 34 years old? He was very good but not now and certainly not since he has been in this division.
Do you really expect him to rebound from that kind of injury at 34 years of age?

i seriously doubt he will. most of those guys have enormous bellies that put stress on the lower back. the first thing most rehabs do with normal folk is to try and get that weight off. you can't do that with o linemen who need that ballast.
it will be interesting to see how well kyle turley does in his comeback. he was down below 250 whenhe was trying to be a tight end. but he is signed now to play o line so he is going to need to get his weight back up, i would guess. that is not going to be easy on his back..
