I think it's a travesty that Lynn Swann & John Stallworth are in the HOF and Art Monk is not but I'm glad they are trying to do something about letting undeserving players in and reducing the max to 6 helps a little bit.

Art will get there soon but it's already taken too long.

Love this comment. Very accurate statement. Most of my friends are Steeler fans and I attack them about this issue all the time. Swann and Stallworth getting in gives credence to Ricky Sanders or Timmy Smith getting in (I'm kidding). Monk should be annointed god of football comparatively.

I don't like the above article. Sounds like more Elvin Betheas and Nick Bonicontis are going to be inducted over Monk. Grrr!

HoF voters don't seem to think much of Monk. They like him as a good player, not a great one. They think he ran too many 9-yard out patterns. Doesn't seem smart to me, but they don't let me vote for the HoF. [Though they should.]

I'm not sure about football hall proceedures, I know that Baseball has a veterans committee, does the NFL have the same?

I think for the NFL it's media people and we all know Monk didn't give the media alot of attention.
