Ok folks, at the suggestion of some people, I was thinking of starting a "classic HR thread" poll here, and while I have some ideas for the nominees, I would rather open it up to y'all. If you have any threads you loved, made you cry laughing until milk came out your nose or really meant a lot to you(and this poll my be split into two categories, funny and meaningful), feel free to PM me with your suggestions and in a week or so(depending on response), I'll have a poll ready for everyone to vote on.

As far as debates go; I'm really fond of the Ramsey vs. Brunell threads (I, II, III, IV) from Offseason'04 in which several of us took on BigSef3, Ohiofan and other Ramseyites in a debate.
Same goes for the debates we had with Orange Mane last season.
The thread that had the most anticipation (for the longest time) was Carmelo's Gigantnormous thread in which he made us wait 2 weeks to tell us the good news about his TV show.
The Jim Reaper thread with Stacey Keibler was great, also...

"Brunell gave back 1-2 million before 05. I know you were probably too busy fighting that restraining order that Ramsey took out on you to hear about it."

The "Sean Taylor is a Punk" aka the Thread of Red Flags. Summer 2004.
Ridiculous actually. In this thread, Taylor was termed a punk for skipping the final day of the rookie symposium and for not picking an agent yet. Then there were a few members who could only see Red flags because of these facts......
There is another thread linked to this one, started by Akh called "A Big Glass of Shut the Hell Up" upon Taylor hiring and getting his rook deal done before training camp.

Reading through some of these threads, I'm feeling nostalgic and would like to indulge myself for a moment. I would like to share my story of how I became a member here.
I found hR in it's infancy through a search engine. I also found Webskins, which has a different URL now and is a nice little resource for history and pictures.
At the time, I had a different job and wasn't on the computer much and I was on a dial up connection at home, so my internet time was very limited. I would check hR about once a week to see if there was any info that was not be reported by the media. This went on for over a year, I never joined because I wasn't a chat room or forum type of person and I had no typing skills.
Fast forward to October of '04, I started doing what I do now, got a cable modem and learned to type, lol. I bookmarked hR and lurked it frequently. It wasn't until mid November that I felt the need to register and post and the reason was all the Gibbs bashing that I was reading. It really ticked me off and I couldn't let it go without throwing in my 2 cents. As it was, upon registering, in my haste I screwed up something and couldn't post, so I sent repeated emails to PSF, lol. I'm sure he remembers. PSF hooked me up and I started posting the following week and since became addicted.
That's my story, hope it didn't bore you guys.

Yeah, even though it was through negativity, that made me join, it was the confidence that things were going to turn around that kept me here and made me immune to any ridicule passed out by the non-believers.
I also must state that the majority of the people here, especially the regs, shared the faith in Gibbs.

LOL, Lady with the incredible memory.
Being the gentleman that I am, I was sure to introduce myself before plunging into the debates. It's probably a good thing that I couldn't post when I first tried to register, I was angry and impatient, as PSF could probably concur.

Ah, I remember those days, Mom had tendonitis from wacking people with the rolling pin. We are glad you came out of the shadows Rich, HR would not be the same with out you!

I am reading this thread and though I was not part of hR at the time I am laughing my ARSE off. The conversation about Spence posting in the political forum during the Gibbs hiring has me almost in tears.

And poor Patrick, I think he only finally really believed Gibbs was back when he saw him standing on the sidelines with his clipboard during the first game :D

I think the Dallass game thread from Week 3 was one of my faves. Reading that thread you'd think that someone was dying. And then... jubilation. That's an incredible thread.

I am pretty sure he really thought that was my dog at first. I still laugh out loud at that thread.
I actually DID think that was your dog. It's not always cool to rip on someone's pet, but I SO badly wanted to comment. I was so conflicted I could barely contain myself. When I found it wasn't your dog, it was all over, lol.

I liked that one too BnG, man that night was so depressing up until the end, for the first 55 minutes I had visions of 04 running through my head. So which threads make the cut akh?

Hey man, imagine me watching it at a place filled w/Egirls and Cowgirls fans up here in Philly...I was getting absolutely ROASTED, but after the Miracles occurred, I was literally running around everyone screaming, "OH HELL YEAH WE'RE BAAAAAAAAAAACK!!" They were all just nervously laughing at my deliriously jubilant idiocy, I think because they were realizing that I could actually be RIGHT, after spending the last five years in the crapper...
Looking forward to the final list, Akh!
