it is with great sadness that i wish to post that sam myers passed away.
sam was the front man and harp player for anson funderburk's band and i had the personal pleasure of seeing them play many times in new orleans. they defined what should pass for authentic texas/mississippi road house blues. and sam was a kind, humble, and gentle man who always had time to talk.
sam's website is www.sweetsammyers.com and some of his cd's are still available. well worth it if you are interested in that style of music.
today, the sky is truly cryin'
God Bless you, Sam.... and thank you from one of your many, many fans.
you will be missed
