Since the retro's are gone this year and Marty is 2 years removed, what Uniform combo will the Skinz wear at home this year? Burgundy jerseys/white pants or vice versa?

I totally agree. The spear wasn't as decorative and cool and does not have the history of winning football associated that the chief has. I'm referring to the Gibbs era, the Golden age of Skins football.

I thought that someone posted here some time ago that for the Jets game they would wear the regular uniforms, but they would be all white.

Have not heard that, but it would be interesting. To my knowledge, the Skins have never worn a white on white uniform combination.

If they do, I hope they don't wear the white socks. Look to much like the Chefs.

As far as a logo goes, the only one that I am not a big fan of is the "R" logo - just not quite distinctive enough.....

Same here ... remember the season a while back when the NFL had lots of genuine retro uniforms being used ... the one the Redskins played in was real burgundy and real gold ... no florishes, logos ... I really liked those colors better than the overly "pretty" red (billed as burgundy) and yellow (billed as gold)

I like the American Indian profile, I liked the spear, if they could get a creative artist to do it I liked the old feather deal up the center of the back ... but I didn't like the R in the circle ... that was just plain ugly

Since we are talking about it, what I would like to see is a return to the "original" Gold helment. Anyone remember those? On the helmet, I would put the Indian profile logo, in the circle, but I would drop the feathers. That would make the logo look centered and more spacially appealing. I would loose the stripes atop the helmet for more of a warrior look, more simply, not so flashy, and within the logo itself, I would loose the white color and have the gold color of the helmet as the background, to contrast against the burgundy color of the Indian head profile.

Uniforms, a dark shade of burgundy with no accents for the jersey and gold pants with no accents or stripes. Burgundy socks.

For away games, white jerseys with burgundy numbers and burgundy pants no accents or stripes. I'm still debating about the logo on the side of the pants.

Yeah, I heard that too. I hope that it's NOT true. That would indeed be UGLY!!!! All white? YUK:mad:!!

I for one am a fan of the RETROS that they used last year. I still advocate having home (and away) helmets. The Skins briefly did that in the 1970's and I thought that it was cool then. It gives us a "distinction" in the NFL with regard to helmets (kinda like Pittsburgh has with a logo on only one side or Cleveland with no logo at all).

Uuugh.
The solids look like USC rip-offs.
The spears helmets look like FSU rip-offs.

Love the Cooke design.
I truly believe the ones we had were the most distinctive as well as the most artistically evolved.

On a totally hilarious note, my girlfriend use to be a "Color Me Beautiful" personal color co-ordinator. She likes the regular ones too. Says quote, "the yellow highlights on white, work better than the solids because red & yellow are too strong to go full strength at each other. They clash & are hard on the eyes." *lol*

Unfortunately I fear Snyder is loosening us up for a new uniform. Every owner wants to put his stamp on the team. If he totally can't help himself, he could change the indian-profile to a neo-profile. Something like what the Patriots or Broncos did with theirs, using a streamlined look. But I really like the profile & I think the colors were worked out to a T during the 80s.

(& hey, when you win 3 out of 4 superbowls with them, you want to create a standardize recognizable look)

I'm glad they ditched the retro's. The mustard pants were about as ugly as it gets. Wasn't too crazy about the helmet either though I liked the jersey.

I also heard the rumor about white on white for the Jets game. Can't recall where I heard it though.
