:D Can anyone tell me where I can get a CD recording of Hail to the Redskins?.

Miek and Kenny, two of our Admin will answer this for you. They are members of the Redskins Marching Band.
Welcome to hR. We hope you decide to become a regular contributor to our community!

Actually several years ago the band did a recording for the CD but when Snyder took over, we never heard anything about it. Most of the recordings are not the Redskins Band they are other groups.

Actually our Redskins Band page here at hailRedskins.com has a soundbite of the fight song from the Redskins band

Welcome aboard MCk glad you joined us here at hR. I used to have the file on my computer but I lost it somewhere

Okay MCK, I found one for you. Just right-click on the link below and select "Save Target As". It will prompt you to specify a directory and filename to store on your computer. The default filename is Hail1.mp3 and you can put it in any directory on your computer. If you have a later version of Windows, I would recommend the My Music directory. The file is 1.8MB which could take some time over a dialup connection

You're welcome RedskinsDave. We aim to please.
Thanks for all the info.
I really enjoyed the band last year. What section will the
band be playing at this year after all of our home victories?.

good link hail2skins. I had this file before my comp crashed a couple of years ago, and haven't been able to find it. I'd like to see you all do a recording of it sometime. This one's good, but I think you guys could make it a little more funky.

We normally play several songs after the game right where we sit in the endzone. The percussion line also does a show behind where the band sits in the beer garden in the endzone. You know, that kinda stuff that was in the movie Drumline.

Great link. And I agree, as much as I love the song I would love to see a remake with a Blue's touch. Another good rendition is the Seldom Sene but AFAIK it's only on vinyl record (Just happen to have it).

What about a reggae version. Add some steel drums. That would be sweet.

I've heard a regga version live once and it did sound cool. HeavyMetal maybe but what if we meet in the middle have a Stevie Ray Vaugh (type) version.

Okay, since I'm a native of DC, what about a Go-Go version?

I'd love to hear HTTR done with steel drums? Can you and Kenny do that, Mike--play steel drums, I mean?

I can pull out the voices and try to put it to other beats...but that wouldn't be right... I could put it to just about anything

Hey, go for it. I'd like to hear what you can do.

For some reason I've always loved the sound of steel drums. Must be everything they imply. You never associate steel drums with heart attacks or stress or crowded subway trains.

It won't be done very soon... I got a lot on my plate, but I will do my best....

Me too Spence. I have several steel drum CD's that I use for relaxation.
