I don't know if we would be interested or not, but he was a 2nd round pick in 99, although they say he is not in football shape.

he was a high school teammate of champ bailey, lets put this one on champs shoulders
this guy seems like a big daddy clone. if he can make use of his fat and take on 2 blockers, i say we bring him in

I just saw on ESPN how he collapsed due to the heat. I don't know if he has the talent we are accustomed to, but I suppose for league minimum, he'd be worth a shot.
(don't forget, league min. doesn't count towards the cap)

He was also Cole's college teammate. He might be worth a look at.

I'd go after him. He does have talent, but he hasn't worked hard. I don't normally recommend those players, but we are desperate.

Welcome to hR Ryan. You are so wrong about this being a good Redskins site....... This is the best Redskins site..... Just to let ya know.:p

Now,......... I don't want Larry Smith. He was a first round pick that is probably spoiled and whinny from what I have read. We don't need another problem around here, ........... I don't care how cheap he is!

This is just one more thing to fuss and argue about later. Let's not go through this again. We don't just need a big man, we need a good DT that is in football shape, that can compete as soon as "LAST WEEK"!!! We need to face the fact that we are not going to get something for nothing.... This situation has to be dealt with properly now. We don't need a quick fix. We need a seasoned vet. that can play now.

I would rather put Tre' Johnson there. At least he is in shape. (I know he's a little banged up but I'm sure you guys get my point).

WHAT .......... Day#17 and BDW hasn't signed with anyone yet. What a TON of talent - huh?

Would not hurt to sign Larry Smith but I don't think he has the heart for the NFL, then again a change in scenery is maybe what will motivate him - Look what it did for Garnder.

'Skins managed to relieve themselves of one rather large and poorly conditioned - mentally and physically - player and now we should consider taking another??????????
ABSOLUTELY NOT !

I can see no upside to Larry Smith as a Redskin! :banghead:

Let the FO keep looking!!!!

I wonder if the skins were one of the teams they were trying to trade with...Skins and the Packers are well known around the league to be looking for DT.
