Ladell Betts Not Likely to Play...

Things is, what happens if we do well in ruishing. What happens if Trung gets some nice reps, Watson carries well, and Sultan steps up again. Betts has to get back in the mix.

he needs to do whatever he can to get back in the action. I say he would need to push through the injury at least one day to show the coaches something so they don't have to remember what he did a month ago. Especially with Sultan appearing to make a good run for a roster spot.

Funny thing, last year everybody was saying what a waste of a draft pick Betts was. Glad the skins saw something in him a lot of us didn't. Sultan, however has even less chance of making the team than Watson does. I remember a couple of weeks ago everybody was writing Betts off because of Watson, now it seems everybody (media) is writing Watson off because of Sultan. The skins will keep three backs and they will be Candidate-Betts-and Morton.

Missing only two games won't set betts that far behind. Better to have him be full strength for the last two games, he'll still impress...

I think Betts will be fine but he has to get back in there soon

Betts will make this team. He is the only back we have that is capable of running between the tackles when it counts. We can't go into the season with 3 carbon copy running backs, which, IMO, is what Canidate, Morton and Watson are (With Watson being the closest to Betts style and capabilities).

Yes, I've been making this point as well. Betts is only potential 'every down' type back that we have. Hopefully, he'll come back with a vengeance in the 3rd preseason game and remind everyone what he's brings to the table.
