I know it is early, but web boards were made for this sort of thing. Predict the MVP in the NFC and the AFC.

Don't think Vick is going to happen with his injury now. But I think he could of considering all his hype.

I can see RW though.

I do see Priest proving a point this season...so he could be the MVP...and Marshall Faulk is going to get abck to his old ways and win it in the NFC.

I don't see LT doing it this year because I think the passing game is going to over shadow the rushing game. He'll put up great numbers, but so will brees.

I'll be satisfied if Ramsey is a top 10.

Does anyone think that Jeramiah has any chance of winning the Defensive MVP?

I assume you're talking about trotter...and hell no. Lavar will be too much a factor to allow Trotter to stand out that much. I like trotter, I think he's in for a big season, but not MVP caliber season.

Do you think he could have over 200 [total] tackles?

Not unless we get a guy with more chins than a Chinese phone book to suit up at DT and shield Trotter from blockers.

Funny, but racist nonetheless.

Keith Brooking had 210 tackles last year. The Falcons D-Line(or their entire defense for that matter) was weak. They started Ellis Johnson, naturally a DE, at DT.

What / who is the authourity on the actual figures. For instance, NFL.com has Brooking at 110 tackles last year.
ESPN has Brooking at 140 total tackles(114 solo, 26 ast) (which to me is usually the authority) But no where have I found 210 tackles, or anywhere close.

About Trotter, I guess it's a matter of who is counting. If by ESPN standards we're talking 200 tackles then no freakin way.
He'd have to have THE most tackles to be defensive MVP, and I think Lavar will be have just as many if not more tackles. The tandem will keep Trotter from standing out. Trotter SHOULD get more tackles because he's in the middle. But who knows...

ESPN is my source as well. Damned figures!

Racist? Shall I ignore the fact that it's a very common Chinese name? If I said "more Smiths than a New England phonebook," would that be racist too?

jsarno

WHAT YOU GOT AGAINST SMITHS, ESPECIALLY THE ONES IN NEW ENGLAND??????

They're just so damn.... Smithy. I mean, really, does it get any worse? ;)

I have not heard of the name 'Chin' outside of Emperor Chin, who's real name was Shi Huang Di.

New Englanders are not people of a certain race. It would be racist if you said 'An American Phone Book'.

JoeDaSchmoe

Not unless "American" has become a race without my notice....

I used to know a guy named Chin. Surname, obviously. Chinese.
