He had time enough to undo the sweater draped over his shoulders, put down his pen and notebook of poems, and take off his panties to actually play football?!? Huh?!?

You know he was a touchdown MACHINE for our last coach...

But it all went wrong when he had that string of radio hits!

I'm watching the replay on NFL Network right now and according to the Eagles broadcast team, Philly has the best player at every position in the NFL. I'm starting to get nervous...

Of course they do. They do every year. ;)

Speaking of DMac, he was covering punts in the HOF game against the Raiders. I think he made a tackle in that game too.

I saw the game (this is what I get for having a boyfriend who likes the Eagles), and no, there weren't really any injuries. McNabb looked really sharp, the Eagles Defense looked very good, but ther running game wasn't there. They had that little Mahe guy in there a lot, and then some young guy named Tapeh(sp?). No Westbrook, no Buckhalter.

The thing I was most impressed with was their offensive and defensive lines. They both appeared to be driving guys back. The thing I was least impressed with was of course their running game. But it's hard to tell without Westbrook playing.

McCants did have a couple nice catches, and appears to be #4 on their depth chart right now. That rookie they have, Baskett, did look very good too.

Oh! I forgot the most important part. They have a kicker, not Akers, who played and looked GREAT. The announcers said he'd go to the practice squad and that someone should sign him. We should get him! He boomed the kickoff into the endzone, and nailed a FG in the 4th.

Baskett had a nice diving catch near the goalline but he fumbled his first reception (but recovered it) and cut off a slant route later that should have lead to an INT but the DB dropped it. Even on his diving catch he had no separation at all until the last instant, although it was a great grab. I still think if Philly has to start this guy then they're in big trouble.

Reno Mahe also got a concussion so the Eagles are without yet another RB for at least a short period of time. I'd like to see them match up against a team that is actually talented to see how strong they look, but both lines seem to be handling the dregs of the NFL really well. However, who knows how long until Kearse and/or Howard begin to fall off with their inevitable injuries. The Philly broadcasters are treating Howard like he is the second coming of Reggie White times two.

Jaws is like that every preseason. He is much better in terms of being unbiased when he does a national program, but on local coverage, you'd think the 6th OG was a perennial pro bowler.

They were playing a team with a rookie(for the most part QB), no RB, and little depth at WR, and oh yeah a knuckle head TE. Of course their D looked good.

As for the offense. Did I mention the Browns have no defende.

Really though I do expect both lines for Philly to be their strong point. That will win them some games along with McNabb. But they are thin enough everywhere else that 8 wins is probably their max. However they will surprise NFC east teams a couple of times this year. I think they might split with the Giants and Cows.

I guess its possible but, for the life of me, I don't know what they would do with a 4th RB.:)
