I sent this e-mail out, but I wanted to make sure all league members got it. Im getting it bounced back by JDS and his PM box is full.

Gentlemen...the draft is quickly approaching, so I thought I'd send out an email to help prepare you for it. (Sorry for it being so long, but I want to cover EVERYTHING)

The draft will start promptly at 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 19. The draft will be an official 15 round draft, in serpentine fashion. Remember that this is a REDRAFT league (not a keeper).
Prior to 7:00pm, I advise you to enter the draft room a few minutes early. To do so, simply click the "Draft" link found at all times on the left blue bar of your team/league page. As soon as you enter the draft room, click on the "chat" link found at the top of the page. We will all be using this during the draft for commentaries/concerns...etc.
Once everyone has reported at 7:00pm, I will activate the draft, and we will begin. To start, I have put a 5 minute time limit on all picks. Obviously most picks will only require a minute or less, but I know that some of you have dial up modems and may require additional download time. Regardless, once the draft "takes off", I may decrease the time limit to around 3 minutes. We will play it by ear.

When it is your turn to draft, simply use the "player lists" on the bottom left of the draft room. You can sort by position...or even further more by sorting via last year's stats for those players. You can also type in their last name into the search mechanism if you can't seem to find them. To draft a player, click on their name and proceed to follow the instructions to draft him. If the time expires on your pick, you WILL BE SKIPPED, similar to what happened to the Vikings in the last two NFL drafts. MEANING: If you don't draft a guy during your turn, the next owner gets to pick...and the next owner...and the next owner...etc until YOU communicate to me (You can send Private Message in Draft Chat room) via the chat room who you want to select, and then I manually select him for you. This is obviously a pain in the but folks, so lets make our picks and not go down the "skipped" road.

To help speed up the draft, I advise you to add some players to your personal "queue" found on the right of the draft room. In here, you can rank as many players you want. This is an amazing tool, as you customize how the server reacts to your selections. To customize your queue, simply click on the "Change Queue Preferences" link. It will give you five options to choose from:

1. Queue will never automatically select a player (which it is currently defaulted to)
2. Pick top player in my queue at beginning of my turn
3. Pick top player in my queue at beginning of my turn, then turn off automatic queue selection
4. Pick top player in my queue if time runs out during my turn
5. Pick top player in my queue if time runs out during my turn, then turn off automatic queue selection

I am personally going to put approx. 100 players in my queue prior to the draft and customize it so "Queue will never automatically select a player". This way, I have my top preferences already in front of me and I don't have to go searching for them. (This is only my example, so do with the "queue" as you wish) I strongly advise you to use the draft queue a few days prior to the draft. It can only save you some nerves come draft time...

OK....that's about it. PLEASE email me any questions regarding the draft to me now, as opposed to 2 minutes before the draft. That way, we can ensure a smooth, fun-filled draft.

Good luck

It will be interesting to see what round Vick falls to after his injury.

I would not be surprised to see him go late first still> He should only miss 2 games right and I would not be surprised to see him playing vs us

Skins where are you getting your info? He is out at least 6 weeks and the earliest projected return date is October 5, which I highly doubt and thats at least 4 games.

If he goes in the 1st 5 rounds it won't be me that picked him.......

Yeah, the reports are that he's out 8-10 weeks. No way he'll play against us....

He could still go early, I get the feeling someone will think about the scoring he could bring for 2/3 of the season and draft him to play behind whatever QB they pick up in the sixth or seventh round for the first few weeks.

Even 100% healthy, he shouldn't be drafted in the first round. There are only about 17 RB's that are worth a damn (FF wise), IMO, if you dont draft two RB's 1 and 2, you are in for a long season. That being said, it is probably worth the risk to draft MV in the third round. He will be back eventually, although one report I read said that if there is ligament damage to his ankle, expect him to miss the season.

Keino, I was going witht hte fact that it was 6 weeks and combined with the fact I can not add.. I was thinking 2 games but it will be atleast 4. I still think he is young enough that he will be back before he is supposed to
