We haven't heard from you much lately, are you surviving all that heat there in France?
Sometimes I watch the French news (with subtitles) and it sounds really bad there, hope all is well with you and yours.

I sent Seebs a PM on this subject yesterday. No reply yet. Maybe it is too hot to go inside and surf the Net.

Hi, everything is ok. in the past couple of weeks we had a rise of about 40 to 50% of the numbers of death mainly older people. T° has been near 100°F for 2 weeks which has not been the case for more than 50 years. The rise represents about 5,000 deaths. I was not on the web as i was very busy with my work, and then was on a 3-days weekend and my computer has been attacked with the windows XP worm, so no connection to the net...

Many thanks for worrying, everything is ok now. T° is about 25°C which is quite good and it has even rained today.

It's my understanding that France has the second highest population of old people in the world, which is the biggest cause of the high death toll, but I have been in Paris, and correct me if I'm wrong, but air conditioning is not in every home and building there is it?

Heh, believe me, AGG, air conditioning is anything but standard in Europe.

I guess I just don't pay attention to over seas news. I had NO CLUE.
What's the temps / humidity been out there?

Hey tex...how was the hurricane? Hopefully you were far inland. You didn't have any damage did you?
