1. Jason Campbell, He needs to really step up and deliver a victory tonight.
2. Rocky McIntosh, I would really like to see him get some first team time tonight because he looks like a man amongst boys playing in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
3. Back Up OL, we need 3 or 4 of these guys to have a couple of NFL quality games so we can enter the season not panicing.

I believe the first team offense needs a lot of work tonight. They need to come out firing on all cylinders. They won't get much time against Baltimore so then need to show some kind of cohesion. If that means opening up the playbook, then let's see the 1st page of it.
The defense needs to shut down the running game. The Jets had their way with us and that's not how we play. I don't care about the trick plays teams use but it does serve as a good wakeup call for the defense.
I want to see some 40+ field goals from Hall. I'm not too comfortable with him at this point but the coaches seem to be.
Yes, I'd like to see McIntosh with the first team defense and I'd like to see Campbell get some time with the 1st team offense. Specifically I'd like to see him go against a 1st team defense.
Our 2nd team oline needs to step up period. These guys haven't looked good so far.
As far as Duckett goes, I'd like to see some basic running plays from him and I'd like to see some running plays from Sellers as well.

good point about the kicking. it really bothers me that we have a fairly high-priced kicker who is not being used for kick-offs, even though Frost seems to be even worse because his kicks are line-drives without much hang time. i wonder if Lonie can kick off. when is the last time we've seen a kickoff go into the endzone?

I want to see the defense keep everything in front of them. No more getting beat deep. I also want to see the running game get going. those are my top 2.

Unfortunately we wont see this tonight. Brunell is set to start the game and this week its Collins turn to come off the bench first. So he will see the most action. Probably 2nd and 3rd quarter, and Campbell will be lucky to see the field in the 4th.
The Backup OL was looking pretty good last week. I want to see more progression from them.
The DL i would like to see some pressure with the front 4. Also would like to see a better showing on our run defense. But without Corny and Daniels it could be a long night for our DL.
And i want to see Ade Jimoh become a shut down corner!!

that is it.... no injuries...
after that, if we can see some development by campbell and the young o lineman that would be great..

i want to see what Lumsden can do, if anything. we already know what have with the top 5 (Portis, Duckett, Sellers, Betts, Rock). we've been talking him for a month and havent seen jack.

we have the ball with two seconds left on the clock hall comes in for a 47 yard field goal try . if i had to bet on this would put my money on us losing.
imo if we dont improve the kicking game that very well could cause us from making the super bowl. this is the area of my greatest concern.

I need to see the starting offense clicking, special teams make a tackle, good play from the secondary, and Frost getting lost on the way to the game :)

-i want to see brunell throw some accurate passes if just a couple
-i want to see rumph make no bonehead moves this week
-i want to see our defense not give up the big play
-i could careless about duckett it isn't a big mystery if he can play or not, i would rather see lumsden and i wonder if betts ligthing it up would help his trade potential in the coming weeks
-i want to see our special teams not look like doo doo
-i really DON't care to see collins, why is he playing second string? Cambell really needs reps with and against the first team
-i want to see more of buck ortega
-mike espy's last stand?

sustained quality play from all 3 units

I want them to have the attitude (especially first teamers and second level depth), that they must do their part for the unit's success. Not just ho hum, because ST's next to me or I have Andre Carter or Marcus W. out here with us,so I if I miss he'll be there. That comes NOW (delivering your game). When your part of the team (example LB's) works in unison, within that part of the defense, it allows things to be that much smoother.
The Pass coverage will have to keep this in mind. We know ST and Arch can play, no question, but how will they play with the guys around them in coverage (Rogers, Wright, Rumph, Battles, Jimoh, Morton)?
Ditto on RB's we know what a healthy Portis, Betts, Duckett,Sellers, and Rock can do. I want more production tonight from the depth players tonight or start punching tickets.
OL, I would like at least 1 player to have a decisive winning game, with the nostrils flaring that lasts a career. Just one diamond to add to Dirtbags, Molinaro. That gives us a fighting chance, core wise with 7 men able to come through when it IS going to be downright gritty in the season.
I want the Men to seperate themselves from the boys.

I'll be looking:
-for the first units to play the entire first half.
-to see Duckett running in a Skins uniform.
-for Lumsden to actually get carries.
-for Rocky and Campbell to get time w/the starters.
-for one of the corners opposite Carlos to step up and make me feel confident due to Springs probably being out for the first couple of weeks of the season.
-for the STARTING Oline to dominate in protection and blocking.
-for the BACKUPS on the Oline to show me ANYTHING, minus Harvey.
-to see if Montgomery, Golston, Lefotu and Simon (our lower round picks minus Doughty) get extensive looks, or if the PS or cuts will be their destination.
-at how the backup linebacker battles shape up.
-to actually get a win under our belt, even if it's only the preseason - I just hate how a loss looks at all;)
-and finally, for NO BAD INJURIES!!

I don't think it is about respect it is about seeing him click in the new offense, just like everyone else on the team it is what have you shown me lately. He has looked far from sharp this pre-season. It isn't that big of a deal cause he is a vet and it is just pre-season, but if you recall he looked pretty spectacular last pre-season and then played like that throughout regular season.

Until the conductor says "end of the line"...
However, getting Duckett is the upgrade at backup I was searching for when the JL thread began many moons ago.
See CNY, the universe listened to our passionate arguments and pleas - didn't necessarily deliver as expected...but instead actually better w/Duckett, IMO.
And to think it all began with a thread named Lumsden.

Looking for a injury free game.
- Identifying players that will be cut after this game
- giving the first unit offense enough plays and play time (at least the first half) to get into a rythm
- Would like to see the defense play up to it's potential and set the bar for the reg season
- Would like to see some of our new players get more playing time (Duckett, Rumphm Foalu, and others)
- WTH is up with danny smith - I want nothing but a complete turnaround from the ST's.

RFK Stadium, early 90's, wow was that something to behold...
Just jammin to Europe '72 earlier today.
One hour till the my Skins internet radio gets fired up instead, a big play or two in our favor would be nice to see, perhaps one on either side of the ball from our starters early on...

My appologiez for being lazy but I don't want to start a new thread.
Any of you know if the game is being broadcasted on any other channel besides comcast?
Currently I'm at work and unfortunately we don't have comcast here. sucks.

Wow. So I guess my two goals for the game were right on track. This game may have only been a preseason game and been vanilla at best but we got our butts kicked and didnt do a whole lot right. We made the pats look like the best team in the world. I hope this is a wake up call.
