Well my kids showed up in a mighty way, ready to play and demonstrate the things we taught them this past week.
In a field position battle the entire game, we lost in a dogfight to Montgomery Villiage 8-0. They are one the better coached clubs in Montogmery County and this area.
Isaiah, did very well. He completed 2-for 7 for 35 yards and 1 interception. Two of the passes were the prettiest bombs for about 25 yards each, but our sure handed Split End dropped both passes. He could not have thrown two better passes. Two of them were roll out passes that he threw away due to good coverage. (Smart)
Running game did pretty well but penalties put us in 3rd and long situations on two occasions.
My Oline allowed no penetration but didn't get too many serges either (gotta work on that).
But all in all it was a good day....much better than the latter part of Saturday.

Sounds like Isaiah is just warming up Joe! Also sounds as if your D showed up to play! Only 8 points scored, not too bad!
I mentioned in the other thread, my son Jake started on a new team this season, they got their butts whipped Sat, but Jake had an outstanding day, 9 tackles and 3 sacks, his coach said he's the Defensive Player of the Week!

Yea and to say we played a team that has been in pads for a month and we only two weeks. I'm proud of them. We have at least 9 first year guys, so we're doing alot of continuous drills and repeating the same thing at least 5 times...but the thing is that they are competitors...which I like.
It sounds like is the only player that came to play. Defensive player of the week at GREAT!!!! Tell him to keep up the good work!

Naaaa, we've got the same problem...mostly first time players, Jake has played for 7 years...so naturally he's got more skill at this point.
If you all have only been practicing 2 weeks and you did that well, look out!!!!

those are some excellent numbers there lorri! :awesomewo
the HC Terps had a good weekend against the steelers....
scores from my nephews teams:
jordan(7-9A): 20-6.....jordan is the FB/LB/S on his team. he played well making a few tackles and adding a touchdown saving tackle on kick return.
xavier(9-11A): 48-0......xavier is a NT/FB/K on his team. the kid is 5'6 120 lbs. and he is only 11, so naturally the other kids are scared of him and he gets double teamed constantly. i think if he had the opportunity, he could take john hall's job, lol. he has a leg on him, as he often pinned the steelers back on kickoffs and was successful on 1/2 XPs. as a FB, he had 3 carries for 28 yards, one of which looked like he picked up alot of pointers from playing madden, lol.
antonio(10-12A): ???. he didnt play due a pretty large cut he got on his foot while at a friends house, so we watched half of the game and we were up 22-0.

The nephews had a great weekend I see! Hopefully, Antonio will be healed enough to play this weekend, do you make it to all of the games?
