Good job Atlanta! And to think, we have a kicker who can only kick field goals and a punter to punt and handle kickoffs. Neither of them are too good at there jobs right now but apparently the Falcons have the system beat.

Just for the record, I do not think this will last.

man, id trade tj duckett back for him(jk folks)We don't need a kicker that bad lol but Hall has questions around him currently. We need to something quickly about all our special teams.

It's never been done before, at least by design and there is a reason for that. This won't work, hopefully.
If it does, everyone will try to copy and the game will suffer with more futility.

Well if this becomes the wave of the future, look for John Deraney from NC State to go in the first round. He does it all for us right now (field goals, punts and kickoffs).

I really hope the Falcons try this as I've been curious for years to see if it would work.

My only problem with this concept is the major risk of injury. IF you are doing this it is tempting to use the extra roste space on another position player as opposed to a kicker. The problem is if your kicker got injured during a game you are looking at no backup and if it was not during the game all of sudden you are trying to fill two positions instead of one.

He is a fieldgoal kicker/punter/kickoff specialists all in one. He is 7 for 7 on field goals, even kicking 2 50 yarders and 1 as time ran out to win.
I would worry about him getting injuried tho. If he gets hurt, then you have to replace 3 positions.
