View Full Version : Gibbs sleeping at the park

I was out at Redskins Park last night and was told Gibbs has been sleeping out there again. In fact, I was there quite late, by myself in the editing room, and I saw "the man" walk out from the coaches area, looking a bit tired but INTENSE. Even if I'd been able to, I wouldn't have approached him with the look he had on his face. He went back into the "coaches chambers," and I saw Byner go in as well a few minutes later. I left around 11, and didn't see them emerge.
I was also told that Saunders made the following comment to some of the staff there:
"Are you ready for some football? Because the handcuffs are off."
That got me pumped.
These guys are already working their collective arses off. I can't wait to see what happens on Monday.

I wonder who Saunders would say that to?

good stuff about Saunders. I am soo ready to see his offense at work. I would love it if we went down on our first possesion and got a TD.

That is a 100% majority on that feeling.

I am so friggin happy for you that you are working with the Redskins!!! How great is that!
I am not worried about Gibbs. The man is intense and wants to win more than any of us ever realize. I can relate to the ultra-competitve side that he has, and I can't wait to see them play Monday.

Gibbs is always wound up tight leading up to a game. He even said he'll be nervous on Monday night.

LOL! I wasn't there at the time, unfortunately, but funnily enough, when I came in yesterday, I waited with Saunders to be let in. He was all soaked in sweat having just come back from a run. He's a big-time runner, apparently. When they let him in, he was kidding with them that they've already locked him out of the building after the preseason. He just looked back at me with a "Who the hell is this guy" look. Thought it was funny.

That is very exciting news. I just hope the long hours aren't taking too much of a toll on Gibbs health. WWD that is a sweet gig you have there. I couldn't imagine.

he used to run in a lot of marathons, sometimes several in one year.

Love that inside stuff, WWD. That's funny about them locking Coach Saunders out because of the preseason.
I'm a little concerned that Coach is sleeping at the office again. This isn't 1984 anymore. But he has a formula for success and how he likes to work, and he seems to be abiding by it. It's hard to break habits when you've been doing them for so long.

You know what they say.................If it don't kill you, then it only makes you stronger! Gibbs is one strong SOB! I love his passion for this team and his desire to win at any cost. I can truly relate to that!
On a side note..........WWD you are the man! PERIOD! Keep living my dream man, keep living it!

Me either! But let's also consider that they're probably doing the better part of TWO game plans right now because of the short work week before Dallass.
I can't wait until Monday, but I *really* can't wait until Sunday, the 18th.
Oh, yeah!

Great to hear Saunders comments, especially having to endure Mike and Mike in the morning predict that Dallas would win the division and possibly make a SB run.
At first I laughed but then I had to pull over to throw-up......
Can't wait for MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!!

He was the Champion of the Universe on the Justice Friends(Kronk, Major Glory and Val Halla) short on Dexter's Lab. He wrestled all of earth's superheroes in order to determine if he should destroy the planet. Monkey won his respect, saving us all from total annihilation. Ooooohhhhh, yeah!

LMAO! I missed that one. I usually catch all of Dexter, or so I thought. Plus, I get caught up in Adult Swim much more these days, or Boomerang. ;)

I remember hearing Bubba say that he keeps a close eye on Coach to see how he's doing. But he's not allowed to go into "the tank." Let's hope Coach isn't having Burger King smuggled in via Coach Byner. :)

Do you really think that Bubba or anyone alse (not named Pat) can put a restrictor plate on that guy? No way. If Gibbs wants to go full bore, he's going full bore, lol.

Im thinking no more vanilla plays, and we actually game plan.. and the handcuffs are what we were forced to hold off.. and now that the regular season is here.. we can "let it rip"
