Portis Appears Unlikely to Play In the Opener (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/07/AR2006090701697.html)
His colorful costumes turned each Thursday last year into his personal comedy routine, but Clinton Portis yesterday played a role he didn't particularly enjoy.

"This is the first Thursday you're going to see me injured and hopefully it will be the last one," said Portis, who suffered a partial separation of his left shoulder in the Washington Redskins' first preseason game against Cincinnati. "Today, I'm the Injured Man. But, hopefully, we can change things. I want to get back on the field as soon as possible, and try to help my teammates."

No problem. We had a change recently where we try to keep 90% of the news articles in this daily thread. That way the board isn't cluttered with lots of one-offs. Only stories that would really spawn a lot of discussion (Portis being out for example) are done as individual threads.

Thanks!

me, too. i agree with that move. it looks like ndukwe is far closer to being nfl ready than pino..

but i thought that some had said that ndukwe was NOT eligible for the PS ???

Here's some articles from Real Football 365's website (I haven't seen any of them up before):

Despite tough division, Redskins are still playoff-worthy (http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/2006/09/washington-redskins-playoffs070906.html)

Redskins' offensive hopes are in QB's hands (http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/2006/09/washington-redskins-offense040906.html)

Expect Redskins' defense to hail, not fail, in 2006 (http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/2006/09/washington-redskins-defense010906.html)
