This is bad for Atlanta (not to mention many FF owners). Looks like Vick could be out 6 weeks or so. Will he ever run the same (ie. McNair)?

Yeah that was horrible news for the Falcons and the NFL.

this is why I never draft in a FF league until the week before the season starts.
This puts an end to all those "Vick is god" comments for now huh?

Well..this REALLY helps out the Skins...as we are scheudled to play the FAlcons during week 2. No Vick...means we have a better shot to win.

Yeah, including the preseason.
This shocked me completely. I didn't hear about it until this morning, and the first thing I thought was, "Everyone who's been saying all along that if he keeps running like that he'll get injured was just proven right."
The Falcons are gonna have a hell of a time making the playoffs now. Yeah, he'll be back after four games, but I doubt he'll be playing at full Vickness when he first comes back. Hell, an injury like that could keep him from 100% for a long time.

Not good for the falcons who could've gotten closer to a super bowl berth this year.

Well, 6 weeks is alot better then the "he is out for the year" comments that were running rampant throughout FedExField last night.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Vick's backup is an old Spurrier guy, Doug Johnson, University of Florida?
I thought he was a serviceable NFL backup.
Hypothesis: Will a classic pocket passer (Doug Johnson) be able to get Atlanta through to a .500 record until Vick gets back?
