Has any one else noticed that who ever they put on the cover of madden,, the following season that player doesnt do that great? First George, then Cullpepper, now Vick.
Vick got it the worst though.

Madden should put himself on the cover, the lardo... see what happens then, =)

All the more reason for ... NO PRESEASON. Add 2 weeks to the regular season or something... these injuries are going to hurt the game... poster boy went down, you know the NFL is concerned.

Yeah, thats pretty rediculous to lose your star player in a preseason game. Something should probably be done.

But guys, you have to have preseason games. Should they play their starters as much as they do? I think so. If you don't you run the chance of them not being sharp for the start of the season. I guess you could argue the fact that you'd rather have them a little rusty than hurt. But its football and it could happen anytime.

I find the connection to Maddens games pretty funny. It does seem like there's a curse like the Sports Illistrated one....

Yeah , I guess your right. You could get hurt like that at any given time. It just really sucks to lose someone that important to your whole season in a preseason game

I couldn't agree more with you xoffenda. It does suck that you lose a guy like Vick in a game that doesn't mean squat. I agree with you guys on that.

The thing is that is part of the game, and the team has to have a decent back up just for this reason. I really feel bad for Vick but I am also sick of hearing how gret he is, like he is Joe Montana or something. I guess we will find out how good those Falcons really are now

I felt bad for him.
He's worked his whole life for this.
I don't care about how good or bad he is, this was a horrible thing to happen.
I pray he heals quickly and that he's back out there soon.

i think the chunky soup cuse is worse. kurt warner, donovan mcnabb, and few others i cant remember either got hurt or didnt have great seasons after they appeared in those commercials. scary......
