When the player himself says he's done, you know it's bad.

Thhis sucks. The last thing you ever want from the preseason. I hope we make a move for Dalton or Jackson

Danny Boy was probably on the phone right after the play

This is the last place we could afford an injury

It's terrible to see noble get hurt like that but I'm optimistic about the D-line's play after the injury. They seemed to step it up a bit and got a little pass rush going. I don't think they rushed for many more yards after that. LaDairus Jackson is the next KGB, or Simeon Rice IMHO. He's smart, fast, and strong. I hope we don't lose him like we lost our last pass rushing prospect, Endukwe Kalu...:twak:

Yeah overall the defensive line played a little better. We still need to apply more pressure on the QB though.

CRAP, CRAP, CRAP!!!!!!
This totally blows. He was the only guy I was relying on to be good at the DT spot.
This is upsetting.
I find it hard to believe we can recover from this.

Some people on the team have to really step up or we just need to bring some bodies in. $hit, find somebody in the arena league or NFL Europe.

Of all friggin positions, DT! Man, do the 'Skins have bad luck or what? This is the one position,a nd one position that is the very worse to suffer something liek that. We worry about our starters let alone depth, so when the one true starter gets hurt, now what? I was at Six Flags when it happened. Wander if the whoel Park heard my scream?

It's unbelievable. I could see him being carted off and he was obviously in a lot of pain. He managed to raise his fist as the cart went into the tunnel, but you could tell it was bad. Now he's out for the whole year and we really need to make a trade.

I never saw a replay at the stadium, but can someone that watched the game at home tell me whether or not it was chop block that did him in? I ask because we could hear Trotter yelling at the Pats o-linemen from where the band sits, which is a good distance away from where the play happened. He was very upset with the circumstances of the injury.

and eventually the refs finally called a chop block on the Pats Later in the game that is.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I was never a big Noble fan and I always thought that we overpaid for him. Yes, It's sad that he is hurt and I feel bad (for him), and it hurts our depth (to a point), but to me, he was of back-up (and not starter) quality. Maybe we can get an up-grade like Grady Jackson or Lionel Dalton.

I was drinking a lot at the bar during the game, so my memory may be cloudy, but it looked as if the defender was pushed into Noble. At least...it didn't look intentional....but you never know...

I don't think it was intentional at all. It's just football. he was just pushed from the side then had 2 300+ pounders fall on him while he was putting all his weight on one leg. It just gave out. Poor guy. I hope he has something else to fall back on in life. It looks like his career may be in jeopardy. Lets keep him and all the other Injured NFL players(as well as all others in need of prayers) in our prayers. They do, after all, play a dangerous game for our entertainment.

Actually, if you look at the replay - there were three guys that caused this, one of them, Bruce Smith. Noble's leg, foot, and body all went different ways at the same time ........ UGLY!!!!

I don't know IF he'll ever come back because he's looking a full year's worth of rehab and then it's a head game too. I hate to say this but I think his career is over.

As gloomy as this may seem, this might be a blessing. Our d-line play did pickup a bit and I think this week we'll see some movement toward getting a starting lineman.
