Well now that Vick is out for our gam..that mans the backup Doug Johnson will be the starting QB. The same one who blasted Spurrier this offseason. I wonder if that will add any spice to the game. :)

Good memory, Tex! I forgot about that!
I'm sure Spurrier will give the media a few quotes about him to spice up the game!

Spurrier has been sticking to his guns about not giving them anything. C'mon SS, unleash the fury.

I agree!
Spurrier's wife admitted to HBO Real Sports that he sits at home and thinks those lines up...and hopes the right scenario presents itself where he can use them. He has tamed down since entering the NFL...I hope he keeps it up!

Yeah I remember seeing that interview DJ. I thought it was funny that he practiced his zings.

I don't think he be muzzled for to long during the season especially if we start winning games.
I miss the Ol'BallCoach. I loved his quotes from last year....

as a vick fan, im very upset that he got hurt. im going to atlanta to see the skins and falcons play and seeing mike vick was part of the reason i choose to go to that game. i hate to look at it that way, but it will make the game easier for the skins.
i didnt see that interview, but thats interesting to hear that spurrier thinks up his quotes ahead of time. i guess he isnt as witty as i thought he was.

My favorite Spurrier quote from last year was at the beginning of the season. A reporter asked him if (Steve) Mariucci was going to be juice up for the up coming game between the Redskins and 49ers and if Mariucci was going to try to exact some kind of "revenge" from the pre-season thrashing that the Niners got from the Skins.
Spurrier confidently said: " Well, I guess that they will be fired up for that game and be ready for us. That's O.K., I suppose, because we will be ready for them too." :p
Man, even though we lost the game, I loved his cockiness, and I loved this quote. I thought that it was completly hilarious.
