is scaring the heck out of me. We don't pick it up and New England blitzed quite a bit yesterday. I hope SS has made adjustments to account for it but it didn't show yesterday. I know he wasn't showing them anything but damn, c'mon. I must say, that drive where we ran the ball about 10 straight times was sweet even though it was the 2nd unit.

It seemed like we lost to all of the blitzing teams last year (Eagles..etc) and won against all of the non-blitzing teams (Colts..etc).
Its a matter of time before eVERY team we face throws blitzes at us on every down. Our O-line AND backs can't pick them up.
When Ramsey has time to throw...he can do anything. (such as when he threw that bomb to Coles) If he doesn't have time...he plays like the worst QB in the league. (such as those horrible passes to B. Johnson)

I'm not so sure it's so much the system not accounting for the blitz as it is the line's/backs' inability to stop it. I watched quite a few times last night as Canidate, Johnson, or Watson would either get shoved aside by a rusher or just miss their assignment altogehter. Hopefully this will improve as the preseason goes on.
On a high note, Canidate did had an absolutely vicious block on a blitzing backer in the second quarter. I was surprised I didn't hear the pop all the way in the stands.
