Ok... for the second week in a row, I have a manditory sorority function during part of the redskins game. I thought I'd be ok and catch half of the game, but now, a class group I am in scheduled a meeting at 8:00 Sunday night. (These Iggle fans are **SPENSORED** killing me!). Now I have two options.

Watch an hour of the game and then get text messages for the rest

-OR-

Do I watch the hour of the game and then tape the rest and watch it when I get home, avoiding all commincation?

I'd tape it and watch it when you get home.. you don't want to hear about a glorious victory via text message.

See. I like that idea, but the I don't know if I want to wait, knowing that the team is playing and not having a clue what is going on.

I think I would actually skip the first hour, tape the whole thing and try to watch it all later that night. I hate watchign games interrupted like that.

Third option- come down with fake illness. ;)

Look I don't know what problem can't be solved with a pillow fight among the sorority girls. 80's screwball comedic movies can't be wrong!!!!

LOL I live with the president, its not exactly something I can do. She actually sat me down and said "I know you didn't get to see the last game, but you have to explain stuff as pledge mom. You are gonna miss part of the meeting. I'm sorry"

sickness isn't gonna work well.

Hang out with non-greek friends and all your meetings will be at bars where you can watch the games.

You could always go with a real illness. Go get some bagged spinach. :D

Just kidding of course. You could get very drunk on cheap booze, that would make you ill enough tomorrow, so as not to be faking it.

Seriously, just tape the whole thing like CNY said, that is your best bet.

I would blow off both the class meeting and the sorority meeting. Tell the President that you paid your dues and politely invite her to kiss your rear end if she tries to give you any drama about it. In fact, I wouldn't blow them off, I would let everyone know in advance I won't be there. Eff em.....

I skipped my night class last week so I could watch the first half of the game. I can't blow off the meeting. I had originally planned on skipping the meeting, but things happened and I have to go to the meeting. I think I'll just tape the whole game. Hopefully we'll be done early (doubtful)...

And Mike... I'd send the twin...but I think the blonde hair would give it away....

i assume you do not have Tivo? that is really a joy to have.. but failing that, i would just tape the whole thing and not watch part of it and leave. that would just aggravate the beejeezus out of me.. i have done that a couple of times and i was replaying the portion i saw in my head.. better to just see it whole afterwards...
the only problem will be if some fool starts to talk about it.. then you have to put your fingers in your ears and start singing..."i'm not listnening to you--ooo"....

It's time for an emergency phonecall.

Long lost Uncle Albert had a heart attack, only to find out that it was just gas.
That's good for a couple of hours.

call it a case of home sickness or a case of "Gotta have my Redskins" itis.

After all, if you were to give up your sorority you would still have your fraternity known as hR nation! It's not like you would be without a fraternity!
Up until your post, I never knew you were a lady Fan.

I did. And I told by three people that I might not want to watch the tape. I walked into the house and my roommate had the game on. I was able to see brunell get sacked and time expire. Kinda glad I missed it, but deep down I'm really not.

Either way, they are showing the game in Philly next week, so maybe by watching the WHOLE game (when i left during the first game, we were winning) I'll bring the team some good luck.

I had to work during the Monday night game so I recorded it on my DVR, unfortunately I had my cell phone with me and it rang constantly from all my so called friends calling to let me know the skins lost.

I missed the game today so I had my friend record it for me. He only got through Clinton Portis' second TD though. Hopefully I can find a way to record them myself so i don't have to go through that hassle again. Especially with all my friends teasin my about the game. I actually believed when one of my friends told me that CP was out for the season... sigh
