I know it appears we will get Dalton, but who do you guys think is the best DT(that we can actually acquire)to come in and start?Could we really get Sapp?
Or does anyone know what kind of shape Washington or Traylor are in?Didn't they both have bad years last year?
I just hope they explore all possible scenariosand dont just trade for more backups.

There is no way we will get Sapp before the season starts or during the season, that is if the Bucs want to repeat. They may not want to extend him, but the definately want to use him this year, as they expect a contract push similar to 1997 when Stubblefield went crazy for the forty whiners.

I agree that we probably dont have a shot at Sapp, just wishful thinking i suppose. So who do you think is a viable option other than Dalton?

1-Grady Jackson(saints)He killed us last year and knocked Ramsey down several times. I'd like him in the B&G.
2-Dalton(denver) Don't know much about him. I know he's a legitimate starter though.
3-Ted Washington(bears)- Another legit starter. A really big FAT guy. Just what we need to clog the middle.
4-Kieth Traylor(bears)I love this guy! Remember his fumble recovery(or INT or both???) when he ran it back for a 70+ yard TD???
He was like an Elephant being escorted by lions as he "scampered" down the sideline for 6. He's another big body that great for drawing double teams.

Hey Redskinmayhem do you know if eithe rof those Bears are healthy it didnt appear from the stats i saw that either of them played much or all that well last year.
I agree that i'd rather have Jackson and Dalton out of the combos being suggested though.

From what I've read It's Traylor and Washingotn that appear to have "fitness" issues. I 'm not sure if they are injured or not.

Well we need a little more than just another big body with a poor work effort.Hopefully our FO will make the right deal.

one of the bears guys went out last year with a broken leg, and thats when the bears started to do really bad. which is why im afraid that we wont do to good. they had a strong enough team with an achilles heel(their dline) and they went 4-12. we're stronger than they were offensively and defensively, but with a weaker dline. the way i see it is that if all stay healthy, armstead. trotter and arrington will each have 120+ tackles.

Well they aren't exactly Jack Lalane but they're good D-tackles. They get the job done keepikng
They aren't hurt this year but one of them (traylor?) was hurt last year in week two and that's when things started to go bad for the bears. As somebody said earlier. Either Traylor or Washington would be a good pickup. They can do what D-Tackles are supposed to do keep the guards off the line-backers and let trotter, Armstead, and LaVar Run to the ball. I'm exited about getting them. Unless they cost a 1st round pick. I don't know if they're worth it at their age.

I'd like to get any of those guys...I would not opposed to re signing Wilkenson either. As far as I know he hasn't signed with anyone right?

I think both Traylor and Washington were hampered by injuries last season. Washington I'm positive missed over half the season. (he was only there for two games, Traylor only missed the final game but I'm not sure that he was ever 100% during the season) If healthy either of them would greatly bolster our DL......
That being said living in IL the reports in the papers don't seem to indicate either of these big boys are going anywhere this season. They are pretty much set to keep them.

I would love it if we could somehow get Dalton and Jackson...
