These are in order of importance, 1 being the absolute anti-christ:
1- David Terrel: This guy freakin suks. I'm tired of seeing him get burned. He's sucked for over 3 years now. Any big play TD is always his fault somehow. He's the DEVIL!!!
2- McCants: I know he's injured but if he can't perform, TFB. Cloman or Patrick Johnson can take his place.
3- Moore(C): Poor guy, he's hurt now but I think he should take it as a sign!! Go home now so you don't get your butt handed to you every sunday for 17 weeks!!
*And here's a few I'de like your thoughts on:
Flemister- doesn't do anything special, not even a great blocker. Rasby was 2x's the blocker he is. Royals is much better and having a better TC and Pre- seas.
Bryan Johnson -??? dropped passes? I hope it's not a trend...
Patrick Johnson - Ok I know this guy is fast as greased mercury but he hasn't done much IMHO. and that dropped TD.....
Gilespie- another gator that's going to choke.
Smoot - I like him alot but is he really as good as he sounds/says he is? I see him make 2 or 3 big plays a season but the eagles CB's do it every week. I think he really has to distinguish himself this season.
Trotter- I know this guy is a tank but I'm just not convinced yet. I hope he has a career season. He had a shot at a INT. on sat night and didn't dive for it. That says he has no hunger, no fire in his stomach... I hope he gets hungry.
PLease comment on all my ideas!!!

I disagree with a lot. Moore might not be a star, but he was ok and the chemistry is better with him under center. I think that Smoot and Trotter will both come into their own this year.
But Terrell, Flem and Bryan aren't helping their causes. Still, i can't see them getting cut.

I agree with cutting Terrel and Flemister NOW. Smoot and Trotter I think will be alright. All the others, I am going to "wait and see".

I could go with cutting Terrell and Flemister right now. I think theres room for McCants though. As for Bryan Johnson, I don't want to give up on him so quickley. He's played well for us in the past. If he keeps it up though he may become a back up.
Smoot and Trotter are keepers. Last year I don't think Smoot like the Def that Lewis ran. Even though I did read that he's a better zone corner back than man-to-man. Which I thought it was just the oppisite.

Smoot I trade for DT in a heart beat.
Flemister is having a bad camp and maybe on his way out depending on what happens this Saturday against B-more
Terrell is loosing his starting job this week - maybe on his way out.
AND the one that everyone was high on last week - Sultan McCullough - GONE!

There are no questions the Redskins need to make changes fast. Some of those mentioned in this post have definitely been underachievers with what seems to be great potential. We are weak in several area's..D-Line, O-Line and QB..patrick may come around but not until he receives protection.
So I say, trade some of these underachievers with potential for people who will come and help us where we need it.

im not sure any of those people will be gone. terrell can still be a backup safety to bowens. i think iffy and lott should each get a start at ss during our next 2 preseason games. if we cut flemister, what backup do we have? do you really think stephens can do it? and i want rock cartwright to start. i have been disgusted with johnson this year but i still think he belongs on the team, cause he's been valuable in the past.

I happen to like McCants (I like him even more now that he's dating Vivica Fox!!!!). He reminds me of Derrius Thomson (whom I REALLY liked). David Terrell is HORRIBLE. Check that, HORRIBLE when it comes to Safety. Actually, he is a very good Special Teams player. Flemister (to me) is nothing more than a glorified big WR. Not big (or strong) enough for a TRUE TE. I prefer Royal. I like Bryan Johnson (decent full back, good special teams), but I prefer Rock Cartwright.

I agree with Ryan....we are not in the position to start cutting our underachievers...
David Terrel: We can't cut him....we need the depth. However, I strongly subscribe to the "START IFFY" theory. Bench DT's butt and see if he can get motivated on special teams.
McCants: From what I've seen of our wide receivers competing for the #4 and #5 WRs spots...none of them have been head and shoulders better than McCants. DMC has a full year of regular season game experience in Spurrier's system. Only Gardner can also boast that. The injury does suck, and he does need to get out on the field ASAP, but I think in the long run, his value is much better than P. Johnsons, R. Flowers, Cloman or Woodcock.
Moore: Once again...we don't have the depth to cut him. Its a shame he got injured, but it doesn't seem as if the team is prepared to simply move Fiore over to replace him. (That should raise an eyebrow among us fans) At least we know that when Moore is healthy, he won't fumble shotgun snaps like we saw on Saturday night.
Flemister: Can't cut him...because Stephens is worse. Royal should be the starter this year, as long as he starts picking up blitzes better. If he can't...then we need to see Flem back in the lineup.
Bryan Johnson: Bench him..and let Cartwright start. Like I mentioned above for Flem...we desperately need backs who can pick up blitzes and neutralize them. Hopefully the "human bowling ball" in cartwright can help.
Patrick Johnson: CUT HIM! He isn't worth the paper we signed his one year deal on. He drops passes...and doesn't look like he knows the routes well enough. At this point, I'd rather see Flowers get a spot than Patrick.
Gilespie: GONE. Too many RBs in the stable to keep a 5th around. Practice squad?
Smoot: Smoot led the team in INTs last year...and despite the mouth, is a solid #2. In fact...I'd venture to say he is better than some #1 cornerbacks out there. He will start the entire season...and if we can afford him come next offseason, then Great. IF not? Bye Bye
Trotter: We spent too much money on him not to give him every opportunity to produce. He has one season of playing for us under his belt. I have confidence that he can only get better. Here's hoping we see the "anvil" celebration early and often this year.

First of all, Trotter was like 3rd in the NFC in tackles last year prior to injury. He's a run stopping machine. I don't know why he's mentioned with these other suspect performers. I don't like Flem or McCants. Terrell should be relegated to special teams coverage guy only (if he's better than some of the bottom barrel WRs or RBs).
Smoot is an interesting question. He is a fine player, but no exceptional. The INT thing is irrelevant. They always, always throw his way, so he'll definitely get some picks in between scorchings. I really do like Bauman. I'd be willing to roll with him over there if and only if we could trade Smoot for a rock solid DT. Some may be up in arms at this suggestion, but that whole up the middle is no joke. There's absolutely nothing worse than seeing a bonehead team like the Boys running 35 times up the gut against a sorry run defense. If Smoot has alot of value out there, I'd trade him if that scenario will yield us what we need.

I can see Terrell and Flem being cut. But not B Johnson, Trotter or Smoot, McCants or Moore.
I wondered when that pic would show up as someone's avatar.

1- David Terrel - I don't think he should be cut but i don't think he should be a starter either. He can perform well enough on special teams and a reserve role.
2- McCants - No way...I don't take Patrick Johnson over him. He can be a solid receiver.
3- Moore - No No No...he may be the weak link but any other center we put in will be worse...except Fiore but then the guard position is downgraded.
4-Flemister - Bench him
5- Bryan Johnson - I'm not ready to give up on him...like Terrell even if he loses his job he could be a solid special teams player as he was a lb in college.
Patrick Johnson - I am not very high on Johnson...I wouldn't mind if he was the odd man out at WR.
Gilespie- he sucked in Europe he has no shot at the roster.

But have we seen enough of Bauman to think he can be competitive at CB#2?

terrell- go back to special teams,
Flemister- just sit the F#@k down,
Pat "clubhands" johnson...... Get the F@#k out now, dont collect two hundred dollars, go directly to the unemployment line!!!! (anyone feeling my hostility towards him here???? ) if you fumble a punt, drop a easy td pass in the corner, and drop umpteen other passes, all in one game, you gotta go. i know, i know, it could be just one game, .............. but it hasent been, all preseason i think he has caught maybe 4 passes that i have seen and that included FAD. Goodbye and give your number and locker to Scott Cloman, enuff said.
Bryan Johnson, he needs to stay here.... all i have to say about him is, he was the lead blocker for rock on all of those 4th and short plays that rock got..that alone makes him stay in my book!
Larry Moore, yes he got his ass handed to him all last year but do we really have someone who can outplay him at center besides Fiore???? from what i saw sat. that would be a resounding NO.
Gilespie, no room for this ex gator.... dont think he will even make ST.
DMC, even though injured, he is our other big possesion type reciever, with Rod Gardener comming to the end of his contract, it would smart to have his replacement already here and familiar with the system.
As far as Smoot or Trotter are concerned, they are gonna atone for last season, Mark my words!
Ohhh one more person that needs to be handed his final check is .............................MIKE STOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! tired of Half assed ST coverage. he has one of the better KR in the league and nothing is happening cause stock cant put a good enough scheme together.. CYA MS.
enuff of my rant.

You're right, it would be a risk. Smoot is a two year starter in this league that will be around for a while. Its just a priority thing with me, I'm nervous as hell about the middle of the line and just thought I'd throw out a possible trade scenario.
Yes, my man Carmike fixed up this lovely avatar for me. Love that pic.

YEPP! ON A LONG TERM BASIS.
WR & O-line were this off-seasons top priotity. Not only more urgent but otherwise would have completely retarded Ramsey's development. I look for those changes next off-season. Only so much we can do in an off-season (most people accuse us of doing too much not too little)
Players just keeping the seat warm until we can get somebdy else = David Terrel, McCants, Flemister, Bryan Johnson.
Players we need to give at least two year chance (otherwise quality free agents in the future will avoid us like the plague even for more money) - Moore, Patrick Johnson, Trotter, Barker.
Player's who are safeguards until we sign their team-mates, ie. Bailey & Arrington (NEVER FOOL YOURSELF, anything can happen in freeagency bidding for Franchise quality players) = Smoot & Trotter.

I dunno. We are just starting the season and each seqason it seems we have a surpirse player. Right at this point i can see us heading to the 2004 draft focusing on S, DT, and TE. This is a good opportunity for Royal to step up and sieze the TE job for the next few years.

ok...
David Terrell - let him do what he does best, cover kick and punt returns.
McCants - probably our best threat in the redzone. I still think he should bulk up and play TE, but hey...
Bryan Johnson - the best blocking fb on the team so he has to stay no matter how many drops he has, just don't throw to him.
Patrick Johnson - cut
Alex Molden - trade
Smoot - wrote some checks his ass couldn't cash last season, but should be fine this season.
Trotter - one of the best MLB in the NFL. he had a slow start last season, but he should be fine this season
Flemister - keep him, just don't throw to him
Barker - keep him until Andy Groom is available
And next week, Snyder needs to inforce this, who ever drops a pass, gets a penalty or makes a stupid mistake, they don't get paid. That should definantly cut down on the mental errors
:smash:

One problem I see with axing players like Trotter, Barker & Moore is... free agents will stop taking the Redskins seriously for any amount of money. They'll think yeah, washinton is like being a member of the "flavor of the month club" once your month is over. That's a bad reputation to have among the league AND that is why top franchises sign top players for less money (SF, Dallas & us of old; Pittsburgh & Philly today)
Got to give players at least two years to click in a system or free agents won't take you seriously.
