Anyone plan on watching that new football show on ESPN "Playmakers" Looks like it could be pretty good.

I'm not sure Robert. It looks like ESPN is turning into MTV. Not nearly as bad of course, right now atleast. I use to watch MTV all the time, but now all it shows are reality tv.

I hope the same doens't happen to ESPN. As for PlayMakers.....I may tune in to see what its like. I hope its atleast believeable. I hate sports shows that aren't like real life.

It looks just like the movie "Any Given Sunday", I'm not sure I will watch but I'm getting real sick of the promos, EVERY commercial break they play a promo.

Im definitely going to watch Playmakers. It looks pretty damn good.

It will contain "stereotypical" themes, I'm sure. I'll bet at least one of the guys has a steroid problem...one of the guys is a wife beater...one of the guys lets up on the playing field to intentionally hurt a teamate...one of the guys will be a male slut..etc.

Should be fun...

I'll watch. ESPN is also supposed to do a primer on the Skins tomorrow. They don't list a time though.

I'm intrigued. I'll watch it to see what it's all about. Shit, I watched the XFL for a whole half before turning it off, I think I can TRY this show! :D

A whole half...not half the season. Half as in 2 quarters. Couldn't stand it after that, and went into my typical depression after the season ends.

I'll watch the first week and see. It seems pretty deep but I hope it doesn't have a "hollywood" feel to it.

I do have to agree with carmike though, it seems as if espn is doing a lot more "original entertainment".

I've just about quit watching ESPN until after the premier because of the constant bombardment...besides, w/so many snippets in all the commercials I feel like I've already seen the entire show

That's true...it is always on.

Nip / Tuck on FX is even worse. CONSTANTLY seeing a commercial for it.

with all the promotions on both shows, it makes me feel like it's a weak show so they have to over promote it to get people to watch. Like the XFL. So far I haven't fallen into these traps.

This talk of XFL reminds me, is Danny going to get his Arena team anytime soon?

Didn't know he was looking at getting one

Yep, he has already named it. The Warriors. Thats part of the reason why people think the Skins will be renamed "Warriors".

is this whole redskins law suit really going to pan out? What do you think? I know I'll be completely upset if they do re-name the team.
