What are we waiting for? Make the deal.

That's a good question, but who are we going to make a deal for?
Trade talks heating up lately? Scrub free agent's?
Bronco's L. Dalton?
Anybody else?

I've heard (from the Post and Sportstalk 980) that the Broncos are holding out for the highest bid and don't seem to be in a hurry to make a deal. However, we will most likely get Dalton for a 3rd-5th round draft pick.
The Saints don't want to get rid of Jackson, and their signing of KJ Carter makes it less likely they will trade him for Betts or Watson and a draft pick. The Saints have indicated that they will trade Kenny Smith for a draft pick, but that doesn't get me excited.
Who knows what the Bears are thinking with Washington or Traylor, but they should be looking for a RB because the A-Train has not been impressive so far. I would trade a RB and low round pick for one of these guys. Traylor sees to be more durable.

Why panic and make a bad deal?

I don't think anyone really panicking and nobody is saying that the Skins should trade next year's draft, but the fact remains that the D will really struggle if DT's are not brought in. Moreover, the team is better off if they do it sooner rather than later, and really don't have the luxary of waiting very long, IMO.

answer : supply & demand.
- more than one team is lookin' for a dt.
- few teams have a " surplus " at that position.
- the teams that are willing to trade a dt are holdin' out for the best deal they can get.
you guys will get one, eventually.
hopefully, you won't have to give up too much ( for the 'skins sake ) ~ ~ ~

No one's panicking, but the fact is that we've complained every year about the defense having to learn a new system due to turnover, and whatever DT we bring in will have to learn what we're running in a little less than three weeks. It's not an easy task, and every day gone by is another that could have been spent shortening the learning curve.
