There have been quite a few surprises at WR this year. Cotchery, Jennings, Reggie Williams, Colston....alll amongst the leaders. Chad Johnson, Randy Moss, TO, and Ward are nowhere in sight. What do you guys think will happen going forward? I have both Jennings and Cotchery on my team, and my only other WR is Houshmanzadeh who has 30 points in two games. If you look at the scoring alone, it is a wicked combination, but its also an uneasy feeling because I don't know much about them. I'm sure others have this same problem as well, so I thought it was worthy of a thread for discussion. Feel free to throw other names in the mix.
I'm thinking of trying to move Jennings and Cotchery, and out of the two I'd most like to trade Cotchery for a veteran. I just can't imagine him keeping up this kind of production. Not sure about Reggie Williams, but he seems to be turning a corner and could be legit. Colston is a gem in my yahoo league because he is listed as WR/TE....sure wish I had that guy. But he too is a rookie, does he hit a wall soon?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, and maybe some possibilities for trades that you think others would accept. I'm just not sure what kind of perceived value these guys have around the league.
