I think this story is relevent to the Skins in a couple ways obviously.

The Chicago Bears traded veteran nose tackle Ted Washington to the New England Patriots on Tuesday for a fourth-round pick in the 2004 NFL draft. On a side note, the fourth the Patsies gave up is the one we gave them for the pick we used on Morton.

Ugh, I would have traded a fifth plus Betts for Washington..... Hopefully we'll be able to snag Dalton ASAP.

What the hell? We would've given them at least that.

Another missed opportunity.

Not surprised, why would they trade Washington to a conference rival that they may have to face in the playoffs and for certain in week 16 when a playoff spot may be on the line?

Dammit that would have been very acceptable for us....did the FO even try? :(

Great example of why I don't think the Skin are pushing the panic button. On the flip side, maybe no one wants to DEAL with DS. Free agents are one thing but trades are totally something else.
ted washington is overweight and old, and that equals injury. im glad they didnt pick him up. why do you think the bills and the bears have both got rid of him the last 2 years? gilbert brown is a prime example as to why we shouldnt pick him up. dalton isnt worth his contract, and i wouldnt make that trade either unless its conditional and he takes a pay cut. the front office is doing the right thing.
the guys we have now play with effort. we were a better run d-fense last year with carl powell when big duddy went down, and i think it was b/c powell went 100% every play. we have those types of players now. bite the bullet and play with what we have unless you can pick up a solid dt without giving up mid rounders or overpaying

I have to agree with this.
I heard Cerrato say today that despite it all they (FO) aren't so desperate that they will be suckered into taking something that they shouldn't (I'm paraphrasing is comments), and I have to say that I agree with this approach.
