...where's my picture of Billick with his face in his hands? (if you know, you know) ...and "resident" is overdoing it. It's just Village Idiot. Unless of course you have excepted me as one of your own.
Did anyone see your Defensive Coordinator on Pro-View last night? What an impressive interview. Coach Edwards is an asset to the proffession & to the NFL for that matter. (even if he is a DUKE Bluedevil)
If the Redskins don't resign Bailey... you'll see a mass exodus from Washington. He's the teams identity now that DG is retired. Similar to the problem the Orioles have after Cal Ripken's retirement. (they failed to sign a SUPER-STAR) Arrington is just biding time, imo. They should give Bailey what he wants and build the team around him. But then again, he and McCallister would be a sweet combo... I wonder how Champ looks in Purple?
...and ah, McCallister is the Ravens Franchise Player, I think he's unrestricted after 2003-4. ...and what is the B.A.C. in Fairfax County? Geeze. What a dolt.
If I were Patrick Ramsey & Steve Spurrier, I'd make sure my index finger was throbbing Saturday. I wouldn't put my starting QB on the field with Ray Lewis three pre-season games into the year. The Ravens front seven are very good. ...and VERY AGGRESSIVE. They have a history of injuring opposing QB's.
All of a sudden, no one knows who's going to start for Ravens at QB Saturday. That leads me to believe it's going to be Redman. It doesn't matter though. Neither have been able to get the offense to perform up to the defenses level. Looks like the Ravens BIG off-season free agent signee Orlando Brown will sit out yet another game. (it's easier to spend the $$$ if you're not hurt)
Who do you think is going to have the most ON CAMERA explosions this year: Steve Spurrier or Bill Parcells ? I'm going with Parcells. The Cowboys are not as talented as the Redskins.
-Peace.

Let's just say we tolerate you, not accept you as our own. It's a preseason game and doesn't mean a thing. All I want to see is improvement in my team over last week.

I think you are wrong for a couple reasons

Arrington
Armstead
Trotter

and the fact that these guys are all playing for money and they know that the more money that goes into a single position means the less likely the team can pay quality starters at other positions ... and the less money they can make themselves

but I LOVED the observation about the Cowboys

Champ Bailey is not the identity of the Redskins. I believe Arrington holds that title hands down.

I think the identity of the Redskins is the tradition of the entire organization...Cal was all the Orioles had...Champ is the best player on the team, just like Stephen Davis was in years past, he left and alot of us hated it, but the team still went on...

Great Title. I love it. I hope it is not temporary.

I wouldn't call them shots. Light hearted barbs is more like it. Maybe observations would be a more freindly term to use. An an equal oportunity critic.
Champ Bailey is a SuperStar. You have to pay your core SuperStar. Someone else will.
If the Redskins manage to extend Arrington, you be able to knock me over with a feather. The only way I see him staying in Washington is if somehow the team manages to put a ring on his finger. Otherwise I'm thinking that he's going to look for a team where he fits into place like the final piece of a Super Bowl puzzle. Trotter has already signed with the Redskins as a hired gun from another team. How old is Armstead? How old is Champ?
As far as tradition of the team being its identity I follow the concept, but it's not what I'm talking about.

This pre-season game will definitely be a workout for our offense... but with the lackluster Ravens Offense... our D may as well take a nap.

I can't disagree totally with that, but you're going to have a hard time stopping Jamal Lewis.

Thanks, Keino. I like the Tell-Tale Heart, but I'm particularly fond of A Cask of Amontillado. Also, I can't help but think that I kicked some major literary arse with that The Raven poem.
