So we can watch a young QB go out and throw 3 INts in one half?

If they're 30 yards downfield I don't care who catches them.

Listening to XXX 92.7 this morning they reported that Jerry Jones has gone on record saying he thinks Bledsoe is the guy to lead Dallas. It is only a matter of time before JJ and Parcells go toe to toe IMO, or Parcells just decides to leave b/c they hardly seem to agree when it comes to personnel. Throw the inevitable TO blowup into the mix and we might have some quality chaos to watch.

Tough choice but I think it was the right one. Bledsoe can't lead that offense with their current oline. Romo can make more things happen. He just needs to limit his rookie mistakes. Carolina would have killed Bledsoe and won't be overly kind to Romo either.

Thank goodness, because that's what their fans wanted. Wonder if he will still be starting on Nov 5th.............hmmmm

Bledsoe makes those same rookie mistakes.Romo's were even worse than his Mon night although I loved Bledsoe's pick to Madison near the goaline.

that's what caused the switch. Throwing a pick instead and using an opportunity to put some points on the board. Everybody in dallas was saying how Romo can be a good quarterback. I can defninitely see that if he learns from his mistakes, he can become that QB. Plus Bledsoe isn't getting any younger and still makes stupid mistakes.

Also, I'm pretty sure Parcells knows more about football than JJ. I don't get why everybody likes to pick on Snyder when JJ seems to do things worse than Snyder does. I know JJ is the GM, but when have they had a good team since he was around? The early 90s don't count because he took over a team with exceptional talent.

Yes, lets all sit up and take notice that Parcells took an ODDS ON FAVORITE to win the division and hit the panic button the second somethiong went wrong. Now I'm not in the dallass camp so this might be a good move, but it appears to be a knee jerk reaction to a bigger issue. Their offensive line is not good. Their WRs are not nearly what people thought. TO is a flake and should have NEVER been signed (the money could have better been spent elsewhere). Is Bledsoe great? No, but he also could have been replaced with Brees or another veteran. So given all the mistakes and problems, is starting an inexperienced QB going to make things better? Maybe.... At least they still have a defense. But on the surface this seems like Parcell has quit on the season.

Oh and to top it all off, our QB hasn't been nearly as bas as theirs.

I really wish people would stop looking for band-aid solutions to larger problems.

The problem is we're not in a position to take advantage of Dallas starting a "rookie" at QB. This would help our chances greatly if we weren't 2-5.

If dallass loses to Carolina, and we beat dallass, we are both 3-5. that is a lot of ifs, but we ARE in position to at least take them down a notch.

Yeah, we're in a position to do that, but we'll need a complete turnaround and some help to be considered for a playoff spot. If we were playing like we should be, then Dallas would already be in our rear-view mirror. But now, we need them to lose what would be 3 straight games to just get even with them at 3-5.

Beating Dallas would be fantastic, especially at home. But with both them and Philly struggling, we could have been in great position if we played up to our potential. I agree with "one game at a time" at this point, we need to come out fresh and rolling for the second half of the season.

Oh yeah, if you meant we aren't in plyoff position, I agree. I'm just saying that beating them would really hurth their chances and we can still finish better than dallass. I'm looking for anything at this point that I can hang my hat on...

Yeah, I meant that with the way the NFC East is playing overall, we could have been in a very good position right how had we played the way we did at the end of last year. But we are what we are I guess.

SO what's the bigger problem? I just want Jason to get some time...I could care less who we're playing against....I'm not saying that was a great move by changing but at least someone had the guts to pull the trigger.

Guts and "lack of brains" are often confused. We'll see which this once for the man genius Parcells.

i dont see how this situation compares toours. romo is apparently the future QB there, thats the only parallel. when asked why parcells replaced bledsoe with romo, he said "too many mistakes." why not play the QB of the future when he is going to make the same amount of mistakes as the vet QB, only the young QB can move around and make a few more plays. thats NOT like our situation. brunell has only thrown 3 picks compared to bledsoe's 8 with the same amount of TDs thrown.mark has at least protected the ball and given our defense a chance to make stops and get the offense back on the field. the problem is the D isnt holding up the way we hoped it would. on a team that hasnt played defense well, a young QB with a bad defense isnt the best recipe right now, IMO......

I'd rather have brains than guts. Making the gutsy call regardless of how dumb it might be has gotten people into deeper messes than they were in before.

You're right there but I do believe some of the QB problems can be blamed on their OL. Bledsoe is a stationary target back there (thats his MO) and you would think the Cowboys FO would beef up that OL to give him more time. I would not be surprised to see Romo giving up interceptions considering the pressure that their OL lets through. Yeah the kid can run but who's gonna protect him? They need to fix that line...........

Most teams are undermined by line play. Both of the cowboys lines have been awful this year.

Thanks for the intro

It's going to be a good test for Romo being his 1st start and 1st ever snaps on the road in a regular season game. Unlike the giants game i nthe 2nd half romo will be playing in a balanced offense with a gameplan set up for him. This may be his one chance to lead the cowboys this year and he knows he has to make the most of it.

Im excited to see how it turns out.

Oline in the philly and giants games yes. Horrible. Other then that and yes vs "weaker" opponets they have looked good. Dline has only been horrible vs the giants. The previous 5 games they played pretty tough anchoring a tough run defense. Hopefully it doesnt become a trend and the Dallas dline gets back to form.

Well that depends on how "rattled" he gets vs. the Panthers. If they shake him up and get him started with some "happy feet" one of two things will happen the following week.

1) Our defense will get healthy
2) Romo will get healthy

Hopefully we tee off on the guy and make his life a mess.

After next weekend the headlines in the Dallas Star will read..."after loss to skins Romo's burning". I may actually like Jim Rome more than the cowboys but not much, no sir...not much at all.
