He will take up more space than TWO Ted Washingtons.

I don't think they make pants for those legs. Could you imagine with pads?

Naw, he went into retirement two years ago and has bad knees. Then again, maybe he's worth a 5th round draft pick!

Does he have his arms streched out to show how big the sandwich was that he just ate?

They obviously know techniques for leverage and a lot of basic lineman skills. It surprises me that there aren't a lot of sumos coming to play football. With a little bit of work, they should be okay as DT or maybe even OL.

On a somewhat serious note, how come no team has ever even attempted to sign a Sumo Wrestler. It seems like they would make good NT's.

problem with most sumo wrestlers is they are good for only a couple seconds. that is all it takes for a sumo match as opposed to 4 quarters at 15 min each. strictly a conditioning thing, besides can you imagine how hot that guy would be in full pads in august. talk about heat stroke.now i have heard of ex football players trying to be sumo wrestlers.

Take it from one who studies martial arts - there is NO comparison. REAL (not this "WORLD"stuff) Sumo wrestling (which is a martial art more than a sport) combatants would not stand a chance in pads and the training of NFL football (there have been a few who have participated in college). Their speed and strengh are focus on two movements in a confined area. On the flip side, NFL "heavies" would not fair well at sumo wrestling.

I see the resemblance to Sean Gilbert. It could be Big Daddy after a long winter in Motown, or even myself after a long season in Washington.
