Condolences to the family,friends,the Boston Celtics,and the NBA for the loss of true basketball genius.A legend of another era has passed,but he'll always be remembered for his coaching,his championships,his eye for talent,and of course,his cigars.

The man lived an unbelieveable life and had more influence on the NBA than anyone else.

Interestingly, he always said that the Celtic's would have dancers "over his dead body". The Celtics are set to debut a dance team this season. Red was always true to his word.

He loved this town too. Even when he coached the Celtics, he lived in D.C.
