Okay I traded Frank Gore, Tatum Bell and Steve Smith for Larry Johnson, Corey Dillon and Torry Holt, what do you guys think? My new starting lineup (12 man league) is:
Rex Grossman
Tiki Barber
Larry Johnson
Correy Dillon or Lawrence Maroney or Leon Washington
Torry Holt
Santana Moss or Musin Muhhamad
Todd Heap
Akers
Cowboys D
Today I am very happy with this trade, even though Holt had a subpar game.

souds like you completely ripped him of, well done. you pretty much just got the number one running back and the number one wide reciever in that trade

def, especially since mike bell, not tatum, played the last game.
the guy that accepted that trade should have his manager's license revoked.

He offered the trade, I was pretty happy with the points my team was putting up (tops in the league) but he offered it so I felt I had to take it. I think LJ outscored all three of the guys I gave up :)

Tell me if you think this one is fair. Tom Brady and Steve Smith for Derrick Mason and Drew Brees. The commisioner was on the receiving end that got Brady and Smith

definitely not. i just rejected a trade like that in a pay league im in (im the commish). turns out it was two guys who live in the same dorm room that were trying to stacking one team and split the prize money

Tatum Bell is week to week right so you got a deal by moving him with Gore (who is on a bad team) for a still prized RB in Johnson, add to that the most consistent elite WR in the NFL right now and you got a great deal out of it.
Question, do you start 3 RBs or a flex position?

We have a flex position and I usually start 3 Runningbacks.

Okay I traded Frank Gore, Tatum Bell and Steve Smith for Larry Johnson, Corey Dillon and Torry Holt, what do you guys think? .
Here is how I see it...
Holt and Smith are washes. Both are putting up similar points/game, although Smith is having his bye now and Holt already had him.
Tatum Bell and Corey Dillon are virtually washes as well. Neither of them are the bonafide primary carrier as Bell and Maroney both split carries. Plus, NE isn't exactly a run-first type of team...while Denver RBs (since Clinton left) never seem to be the primary ball carrier for long. Shannahan likes to keep his RBs guessing as to their starting status.
Larry Johnson is MUCH better than Gore. Larry (in my league) is the #2 RB right now...and he is getting the ball A LOT. (67 carries in the last two games along with SIX touchdowns) He will outright win games for his owners and his schedule looks good. Gore is the 6th ranked RB in my league, but he is still living off of his huge week 1 game against Arizona. He hasn't had a touchdown since week 2...mostly b/c he plays on the awful 49ers.
So...you won the trade, IMO.

my thoughts exactly fent. Tatum could be out with turf toe for a while. Mike Bell will be the starter for next weekend and possibly longer.
Steve Smith has had hamstring troubles since training camp.
Frank Gore could be a good RB. If not for the 49ers falling behind quickly and needing to pass the ball more often.
you made out like a bandit IMO.
