Both unbeatens won this past weekend to improve to 7-0. Indianapolis won a hard fought game against Denver in Denver and Da Bears went to San Francisco and smacked them around lke the chumps that they are.
This week Indianapolis travels to New England & chicago hosts Miami.
Wait for the poll and vote.

I am in full support of the '72 Dolphins and I am picking the Bears and Colts to lose every week.

I don't think Indy can beat NE so i only voted for Chicago to squish the fish. If Indy can beat NE and Denver two weeks in a row on the road then I am going to sit up and take notice.

So? I just don't want to see another team do it unless it is the Redskins. That SB loss doesn't hold any bitterness for me b/c
1) I wasn't born yet
2) my brother is a Dolphins fan
3) we beat the Dolphins in the first SB I ever watched
4) we could and should have won that first SB but at least I can say the Redskins showed up to play that day (unlike the SB against the Faders)
Therefore, I don't want to see anyone (except us) match the record.

If the '06 Dolphins only win one more game this season, it needs to be this week!!!

All that is true for me as well. Except for I hate how all the guys from the 72 Dolphins get together and root aginst every unbeaten team each year. Something rubs me the wrong way about that.

The Pats will preserve the '72 Dolphins status as the only undefeated team. NE will take down Indy this week and then Chicago, 3 weeks later.

Both will win. Bears will win EASILY and Peyton will get his revenge at Gillette on a national stage. BTW - I believe this is the first "flex schedule" game of the season...and they picked a beauty.

I think that is a real possibility. NE is playing very well right now and could make another run.

Bears win, Colts lose.
And by the way, seeing Brady and Manning play this weekend was just painful...and when evaluating our players/coaches, we should keep in mind things like these: New England started a rookie at right tackle, a right guard who only came off the practice squad two weeks ago and a second-year left guard.

Eh. I think it is cool actually. If it were the Skins, I'd be hosting a weekly come see the undefeated team lose party after week 10.
At least those friggin players cared about the concept of team. That is more than I can say about some of the goofballs playing these days. The only way I would have an issue with it is if it were a rival. Then I would want to knock their teeth out and have any team duplicate the accomplishment.

The last Bears team with a shot at being undefeated was upset by Miami so I am going with history repeating itself. The Bears are good but overrated IMO.

No way, they gave the defending Super Bowl champion Stillers every thing they could handle in the season opener...
Oh wait. Nevermind.

I think the Bears will be far better off after their miracle win against the Cards..no way they are gonna understimate bad teams after that game..as the San Fran massacre proved...it's gonna take a legitimate good team to beat them.

im thinking chicago beats dolphins, but NE knocks indy from the undefeated ranks. but for some reason i think miami could pull the upset, but not likely.

The Indy defense may betray them sometime this year, but I could see them going 13-0 again. If they do, I guarantee Dungy goes for the undefeated season after seeing what happened last year when he lets his starters sit for 4 weeks and go into a playoff game cold. It will take a team with a really good defense to contain Manning along with a punishing running game to eat the clock and work on Indy's bad run defense. The only team on their remaining schedule that fits that description is Jacksonville who has a great D and can pound the ball with Taylor and Jones-Drew. But they have had all kinds of injuries on defensive side of the ball and I think that dooms them.
Check out Indy's remaining schedule:
New England: highlight game but the Pats aren't the same team anymore although Brady looked incredible against the Vikings
Buffalo: not a chance
Dallas: not a chance with Roy Williams in coverage against Manning
Philly: maybe, if McNabb and Westbrook have career games but I highly doubt it
Tennessee: not a chance
Jacksonville: I thought the Jags would beat them here but they have had too many injuries to stay competitive
Cincy: maybe, it will be a shootout and both teams have terrible D's
Houston: not a chance, even if Dungy sits his entire starting roster
Miami: Ha.

It is easy to say "not a chance" to these teams, but the fact remains that in the NFL you just never know. Indy needed a furious fourth quarter comeback to beat the Titans 14-13. I'm not sure anyone would argue they are a better team today than at this time last year (minus Edge)... they are beatable.

Yeah, but the Niners redefine "bad". I think we'd even beat them.

They are definitely not the same team they were last year with James and I would also say their defense is a lot worse this year as well. They have a few weaknesses to exploit, but only 2 or 3 teams on their remaining schedule have the tools to exploit them.
Sure, you can use the "any given Sunday" argument which is completely valid (just ask the Steelers this past weekend...). I was just pointing out that I don't think there are any teams left on their schedule that they wouldn't have the advantage against. My guess is that they would beat the Patriots, Jags, Eagles, and Cowboys 7 or 8 times out of 10 each and the rest of them 9.5 times out of 10. So the odds are they lose a game or two, but they will be the favorites in each game in my opinion.

I think this is as correct as it's going to get. Make no mistake, the Bears can be had. If the Cardinals can put such a jolt and scare into the Bears, the Pats can take on the Bears very easily as well. Yesterday's Pats v Vikings game will be played again against da Bears.
Now, I am not sure about the Pats and Colts game this weekend. It's definitely going to be a doozy to watch. Both Manning and Brady can win a game in the last 2 minutes of a game, and I think it's going to come down to the last 2 minutes of the game in a HIGH-SCORING game.

I saw it coming in NE. The same stoic, methodical Belichick, piecing together the team like a patient poker player. Sure he had concern and was very, very candid about it, because that's the way he is. He is polar to Gibbs in some ways, similar in others, ok like most coaches.
Anyway, NE doesn't play around when they're sound. They aren't going to get happy because they have outscored the Colts by 1 point, 14 by that matter. The Colts are very, very unfortunate to draw this team with a porous run defense and even a resuscitated Monte Reagor (hey, weren't the Colts still sucking in the run D WITH him in the lineup anyway???) won't matter.
Freeney's attempts and sacks won't matter, because ALL the corners are clicking in NE, and how I know is, Brady's making no-name WR look good again. Add to this, that the one two punch at RB for the Pats is better this week, because an ailing and slow to recover Dillon is BACK.
The defense is NOT what it once was in NE, but neither is the Colts.
Take NE.
