You gotta be happy for Big Ray! Maybe he can light a fire in the offense. This big fellow has a tremendous amount of heart.

Ok....lets get back on topic. I'm deleting all posts that are non-Ray Brown in this thread (including political pictures inside the post) so there is your heads up...

good move for the skins, but i was just wondering, is this going to interfere with his job as one of the commentators for the comcast sports net pregame and postgame show? because sometimes he's the only one i find worth listening to.

Ray Brown is a great man. I'm glad the organization brought him back... they need more people like him.

Larry Michaels said that he was not doing the pre-game show on FOX anymore. I am going to guess that he is done with all shows for the rest of the year.

Someone local has to tell me if Ray was critical when necessary. If so, I can see the articles now from the media of Snyder buying his way out of criticism.:)

he was the only one who made since. he was constructively critical, but was encouraging at the same time.

It seems like a good move to me, the line is struggling and he is brilliant. I can't help but to wonder if he just wanted to get away from Brian Mitchell.

I don't know besides Thomas we don't we don't have many quality lineman. Our tackels are vastely overrated the reason they were good in the begining of their carrer was because our interior line was so bad they just had to play mediocre to look good because the interior would give up the tackel or the sack therefore making our ot's look awsome but when we got Dockery and Thomas and recently Rabach our ot's started to go downhill, because there not really good especially Samuals. Thats why, they actually have to play well now to not make mistakes.

In English next time please. The Skins' oline is one of the better pass blocking lines in the league(9th in the league in sacks allowed with 11, which is TWICE what the Steelers have given up, and they have one most of the talented lines in the league). Thomas isn't the only talented player(and Thomas isn't having a good season imo). Jansen & Dock are very good run blockers and Samuels is a top LT.

lol akh. it seems to me that derrick dockery is playing the best out of the rest of the OL. ive given him crap for the last two seasons, but he is playing well.

Dock is playing for a contract. I would be careful believing that he can keep it up after he gets his big deal.

Yeah Keep telling yourself that and u know Brunell has a passing rating in the 90's. U can stats to prove whatever u want.

I look for Jansen to have a real good game this week. He knows what Parcells said about him and though he blew it off, you could see a look in his eye that he has some added motivation on Sunday.

Habla Ingles? I can't find stats to prove the skins are a winning team though, so I guess you're wrong? Thanks for not disputing anything I said.

This smacks of pure Snyderism. Ray Brown was a great commentator on the Comcast post-game show. He was critical when necessary but he was also upbeat and encouraging when appropriate.
However, his criticism was especially stinging because it was so on the mark and spoken honestly with no ax to grind.
I think this was a case of bringing him on board to shut him up. I'll definitely miss him on the postgame show.
Go Ray Brown!

On the contrary, he was by far the most pro-Redskins person on the show. If Snyder wanted to buy someone it would be Mitchell who rips them no matter what.
