Thanks for not kicking the extra point, of course you know more than any other coach in the history of the game. This loss should fall squarely on his shoulders.

Uh, we still would have won by 2. :D

Just kidding. I agree. he goes for one and they don't have to try the FG.

I know the Fox announcers wanted to somehow pin this game on Dallass mistakes. But we had our fair share of close calls, as well. The goal line possession, the BS hold call on Fauria, etc.

But I am still on a mental high after this win...

:Pickle: :dalassuk:

I had the sound off during the Fauria hold and I think it was a personal foul against dallas for a low blow on Brunell.

Btw, does anyone notice that the Dallas Oline plays by a different set of rules than the rest of the league? Every game I see them get away with a dozen holds.

It was clear at tthe moment and it is clear now, Parcells made a bad decision by going for 2 so early in the game. And it ended up costing him the game.

the holding WAS outrageous..

while it wasn't funny when it happened, witten held so obviously on one play he was looking around for the flag.. when it wasn't thrown he just shrugged and went to the sideline.
they gave dallas carte blanche the entire game..

Well, according the chart each teams keeps on when to go for 2 and when not to, the chart said to go for it. That would have put them up by field goal had they been successful.

Yeah, but most coaches don't use the chart until the third and fourth quarter b/c there are plenty of scoring opportunities left in the game. Most coaches take the extra point and the two point lead unless as I said it is near the end of the game.

The media can pin the loss on that failed 2-point conversion all they want.
They would be praising Parcells had his team successfully made the 2-point conversion.

LOL shally, you really lived up to your 'Grumpy Old Man' title there..

I agree with you though, the holding by the Dallas o-line made me scream.. literally.. I was at the bar standing on my chair yelling "HOLDING!!! WHAT THE **CENSORED BY SPENCE**!" I had two Dallas fans on either side of me too who kept asking me if I knew I wasn't really at the game.

Anyway, thanks for trying to go for 2.. you stay classy Bill.

At the bar? Did you and Gaston bring your laptop with you? Or is, god forbid, there a bar within 5 minutes walking distance from Gaston's new place?

No way, Bill Belichek is by far the greatest genius in the history of the NFL. His gameplan last night proved it once and for all. When facing a team with an awful run-defense, and when you have two power-rushers, the key is to go with trick plays, because the opposition is just waiting for you to smash the ball down their throats mercilessly.

lol no, I was at home yesterday and they weren't showing the game on tv in Baltimore, so I went out to a local bar (sadly it was not in walking distance). Gaston has the metro though, so trouble is always at our fingertips there.

Yeah, the girlie flavored ones violate man-law, not that you need man-law, but that I can't have them so I wouldn't know if they are gross or not, but I would assume they just obscure the taste of good alcohol. Firstly it depends if you prefer Gin or Vodka. I like it all so it's usually just what I'm in the mood for. Lots of great Vodkas like Finlandia for a moderate priced, but very good brand, Ketel One if you want to get drunk, Chopin, Grey Goose, etc., Gin, Bombay Saphire is always a good choice. Then how much Vermouth you want. If it's a good vodka or gin don't spoil it by dilluting it with too much. Ask for it dry. Then olives or a twist.

Funny, I've found very few alcoholic beverages I don't like the taste of. Usually it just depends on the mood and ordering locale specific drinks. I've been drinking a good deal of scotch recently but it's always been with the adults.

I used to drink Vodka and Gin(along with beer) mostly, but I started with bourbon and never looked back. I had a bunch of beer and Sake(and then bourbon later on) this weekend and that was the first time I've had any beer in a long time. Scotch. Bleech. I'm addicted to bourbon way too much, and becky will be soon ;)

I think it just plays to me liking a lot of variety in life not getting too attached to one drink. I like Sake a whole lot. Plum wine is also a unique Japanese drinking experience.

But I'm suprised you like Borboun and don't a like single malt now and then.

Also, if the bartender mixes your martini in a metal shaker cup, say no thanks and get up and leave. Gin will pick up the metallic taste of the shaker and ruin it. And remember you NEVER shake a martini.

I've heard mixed things about the shaking. It's the classic Martini dilemna, but I really think in the end it doesn't make any difference at all beyond what you percieve it does.

One thing C-7, is that we could doubt Gibbs for not kicking the field goal the first drive. That's an extra point for the Skins and the game might have been different. You can second guess dozens of things about this game on both sides, but you can't second guess the scoreboard.
