theres the link, personally i think this guy gets open pretty consistently (im at all the home games so i see this). What i didn't know was how good of a blocker he is, until he took out henry on that play and shoved him to the ground, (he also got a partial block on Keith davis, davis the safety shouoldn't have cut inside llyods block, but it doesn't matter, portis one on one in the open field will kill ya)

CHange at QB would give this guy more oppurtunities, and the qb's with a year in this offense will stop them from lockin on.

don't get me wrong, i didn't call for a qb change, only that a differ qb would throw to llyod more because they wouldn't have a man crush on moss:rolleyes:

Good article and it's good to hear he's staying positive, upbeat with the limited opportunities he's had. I want Brunell to get him the ball alot more in the 2nd half of the season. He excels at slants and deep patterns. That block was pretty sweet.

IMO, his best plays on Sunday were 3 were he never caught the ball and therefore didn't show up in the stats.

2. The block to spring Portis

3. The pass interference on the ARE option pass

His time will come, but I like the way he's playing even though he's not getting the ball as much as he'd probably like to

I'm really starting to warm up to Lloyd! The excitement he showed on the block for Portis was something special!!

I personally hated the Lloyd trade and have probably been too critical of him based on that. While I haven't been encouraged by his production to this point, I do feel like last week he showed a lot of toughness and played his best game as a Skin.

Lloyd created Portis' TD with that block. He freaking pwned Henry and he dominated him all game. He only had two catches but he really stretched the field, drew a huge PI call, and played his best game of the season.

He was a really big addition for us regardless of what his numbers say. If we'd target him more in the passing game then he could generate some big time numbers.

I think Llyod's biggest deception is that because he isn't built like a chubby Hines Ward or maticulously manicured like TO, that he has no heart for physical interaction. Odd, because even in SF he made it clear on more than 100 occassions, he's got heart. Someone had ONE flick of a pass going by on confusion of the proximity of the QB (who picked a gray area ot throw) in SF and suddenly he was labeled "no heart". Rumors are viscous, but reality is sweet!

yup.. i was obvious that dallas had no db who could cover lloyd without holding him.. let's hope they continue to look his way in philly

no kidding! he has definitley been impressive with his ability to keep his cool thus far. If he stays on this track he's gonna get a lot of respect with his teammates and became a major leader... something our team lacks now

our team is too quiet and too laid back.. we need a few more "in your face" type of guys to take charge

The only time they needs to be in anyone's face is during a game, and the face they need to be in is that of the opposing team.
We don't want a TO or a David Boston...

I really got worried on the bye week when reports were that everyone was dispassionate and seemingly unaware of their current predicament. Whinestien alluded to this numerous times. I agree, I like guys who will break stuff and make a scene ( in a productive way). Most winning teams in sports have at least a few guys they count on to fill this roll.

relax bro, i don't think thats what he meant to say. I think he wants guys who show some fire out there, yea its great to have brady calmness and montana cool, but you gotta have some Harrison fire, or Teddy Brushchi (Spelling) fire.

He just means guys who show it a little more (Marcus Washington)

on another note, i don't think llyod can be a leader, i see alot of me from him at times, like playing to the crowd and stuff. I know other recievers do this, but personally, i think the leader on offense is MB and Portis....defense is missing a leader, cause Marcus is the emotional guy, a guy they lean on to motivate them, but to tell them what to do and stuff we don't have a guy....(It was pierce)

He also flipped Roy Williams when he looked to have an interception. His hit didn't jar the ball loose but I have a feeling that he wouldn't have held on to the ball if he had it. He seems to be a good reciever that will only mature with time.

I liked the Lloyd trade from day one largely due to the highlight film we saw and the fact that I have a soft spot for players who produce and play hard even though their team sucks.

His attitude has been exemplary.

I like him as a player and as a person. I think he'll be a good representative of our team. Saw him tonight courtside at the Wizards game. He said all the right things. Good dude.

for a guy who is not that muscular he is not afraid to get his body in front of defensive players..

Yeah, I agree. there is a fine line between intense and jerk. I love the way our team is and I think it reflects the personality of our head coach. We have a burning desire to win, and we don't lose our composure no matter what.

the 1st play you mentioned, in the game-day thread, i refered to lloyd as our best CB

the block, i didnt even see, but i heard the announcer mention it, so kudos to him. drawing the PI, huge and set up cooleys TD. lloyd made a huge impact that game, even without moss. and with thrash making plays, whatever happened to patten?

still am a fan of bringing lloyd here. things havent been working out too great yet, and he hasnt been complaining. could be a gibbs kinda guy.

Indy. Frost. Helmet. Kicked off from the five. Yes, the FIVE.
We don't lose our composure...most of the time.
And we've improved in the penalty department. Plus, we're getting teams to cause penalties more and more...which Philly will commit, if we go at 'em hard.

Can't agree more BosSkins.
The thing he displays more than anything else is that he's a team 1st guy. Did you see his reaction following his block on Portis' TD? I've never seen a WR so excited for throwing a big block. Only linemen ever get excited like that.
