Watching the Dallas and Pittsburgh game and they started talking abou the division. When the got to Washington, Troy stated that he would be worried about Spurrier's pass protections. He mentioned that teams break protections down and exploit them. So, if Spurrier has to protect Ramsey by keeping people in to block, then he's not coaching his kind of game.
I guess this means that we will be blitzed and blitzed until he show we can exploit it.

When you're running 5 receivers it's a numbers game. Spunky better learn to incorporate the quick slant.

Maybe we should ask troy where his protection was when LaVar met him at the sideline a few years back.

Good one NC, he would respond "Uhhh I dunno, drug rehabilitation?".

I missed the game other than the 2 point conversion to a 297 lb FB. He turned around and caught hte darn ball. Amazing
It sounds as if Cartere is going to be the starter for Dallas

Carter stink....I think Hutchison has more upside..well good for us. The Tuna is gonna soon realize he cant go anywhere with Quincy.

Actually, Carter had a better game yesterday and the guys in the booth feel that the Tuna has made his decision and that is to go with Carter. Hutchinson sucked it up yesterday.

Hutchinson is a tool. I always point to tha ball he lobbed out to Shawn Barber on Sunday Night football last year as the epitomy of his QB skills. Terrible. Carter clearly better but still shouldn't be in the NFL.

You can agree with me he was not worthy of his 2nd round pickup

Base don the position we are finding ourselves in... if we utilize th screen dump pass early on it will really open up the season for us... But if the play is a dud then we are in for a long haul with Ramsey on his back.

I find it amusing that Carter keeps hanging in there. You know that they are trying to justify getting rid of him but he just keeps doing enough things right to stay the front runner for the starting QB.

Right now, and I would never say this anywhere else, but Dallas looks like a better team than us. They are definately better coached. I am hoping for dramatic improvement, but Im not holding my breath. I wouldn't be shocked to see Lewis gain 90+ yards.

i bet they wont call out the big tuna when he starts to pull his starting qb aka like they say about SS. as far as them going with carter.... let them. next order of business:Watching the Dallas and Pittsburgh game and they started talking abou the division. i am really starting to believe that the Ole Ball Coach has got something up his sleeve. sure let everyone in the league think we dont have pass protection blah, blah, blah..... when the REAL games come, they will send everyone and you'll see a quick slant to rod, then another to coles, and then a quick crossing pattern across the middle to mccants, then a screen outside to Candidate or Jacobs. just wait, IMO the ole ball coach is playin possum as so he doesnt give away alot like he did last preseason.. am i the only one that noticed last weekend that watson was given the ball like 12 times in a row with a reciever faking the end around. that did not look like the "FUN AND GUN" to me, just everyone relax i think we are gonna catch a couple people with their pants down come the real games when they think they can run against us and blitz us every down. Just My opinion though.

Good observation hampton...I'd like to think that he has something up his sleeve, but I also remember all of us thinking last year that he knew he was gonna have to run the ball to do well, and we all know how that turned out.

that is true about last year but the ole ball coach showed too much of what he was gonna do and therefore teams planned on it. i think it has a lot to do with SS learning how to be a Head Coach in the NFL. anybody know if Hue Jackson did any calling in that game last weekend like he did against Carolina??

Looking at last preseason as compared to this you have to believe he is holding back. Think about the personel we had last year as compared to this. Even if our line is having trouble gelling, our line last year sucked. You can't tell me that ramsey right now is not better than mathews or wuerful was last year. I am confident that ol SS could light it up if he deemed fit. I think he's almost afraid to, not just to keep his hand hidden, but he doesn't need the critisism of last year if there is a repeat.

good points rhyno. and quite possibly you are right about the critisism part also but...... that just doesnt sound like the ole ball coach to worry about critisism. Just My opinion mind you.
