I don't like going according to stats before a game I just thought to show this. This should be a game we win. I don't like the penalties though.
I'm a little concerned about Joey Gallaway though. I can see Sean T Biting the PB&J and giving up a big one to Gallaway. I think they are gonna try to get that matchup. As well we need to get that match up with Moss on Barber, because he bites as well.

One of the reasons I love football so much is that you really can't look at stats and derive too much. It is more of an enotional game and both teams will definitely want to win this one. The Bucs are looking for a little payback from the playoffs and we'll be pumped for Campbell's first start. In each game it comes down to a few simple and cliche things, and I hope the Redskins deliver. Campbell will need to watch throwing against their secondary as they often show man-to-man and seem to drop into a modifiedd zone defenses. That is how Barber got McNabb a couple times if I remember correctly.

If we actually open up a vertical passing game, all we need to do is show up this week and we will win. This is the easiest game on the schedule.

I wish people wouldn't make remarks like that. There is no such thing as an easy game, anything less than 100% effort and focus will lose practically every time.

I couldn't agree more! We aren't good enough the think even some college teams would be easy!

If you are not 100% confident that we will win this game against a very very very bad team, then there is no hope.

I do think we will win this game but I am 100% sure it will take more than just showing up.

I think all the passing stats can be thrown right out of the window for the Skins considering this is JCs first start.

Agreed, I'm also interested to see how our defense reacts to what is surely to be a more explosive offense with JC. I think the defense has been playing way too conservative this year. Is that a result of the lack of confidence in the offense to make up points or the defensive injuries? Nonetheless, I have a feeling that this change will energize the entire team.

Also, I believe that with this change we now have a chance to win our next three games, all of which are againt struggling teams.

The Redskins defense has had injuries and were in a position to make up points the last two years, and they were still agressive and at the top of the NFL. I think is was the dependancy on AA that didn't work out, and that we got rid of some good/average backups this year that would have faired better in this system then our free agent pickups.

The Skins have been gaining on the Dungyless Bucs. I also feel Alstott has been the one biggest beneficiary of constant zebra calls or non-calls. I believe this won't be a factor Sunday.

The Bucs have been playing us hard as hell the last few times we've met.
And with our team, the same disgustingly inconsistent one that lost to Tennessee - in D.C. - , anyone on HR is being completely foolish IMO if they call this game, or ANY other game this season, a "game we should win".
As of right now, it's not "we should..."
It's "we suck..."
Unfortunately, until we show that we can manage 60 minutes of execution and effort on BOTH sides of the ball, that's the way it will remain...hope that BEGINS with this game, that's all I'll say.

the majority of stats are in our favor. betts and duckett should be able to do a good bit of running. in the passing game, campbell needs to team up with cooley quickly. another interesting stat is ladell is 2nd on the team in receptions, so look for him too.
playing against a rookie 6th rd draft choice, this may be our best chance to get a few ints in a game.

speaking of interesting stats:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/16/AR2006111601751.html
Against an Eagles offense that ran for 145 yards, middle linebacker Lemar Marshall, according to statistics compiled by the NFL, did not record a single tackle.
The Redskins have not forced a turnover on defense since Oct. 1...
McIntosh, the Redskins' second-round draft pick, has been receiving most of his work in practice and in games on special teams. But he is still behind Warrick Holdman on the depth chart at weak-side linebacker in the Redskins' base 4-3, and hasn't played at all this season in that alignment.
The Redskins are 30th in total defense, while Tampa Bay is 26th. The Redskins are 32nd in sacks and interceptions, the Bucs are 31st and 30th, respectively.

So the winner of this game is based on whos defense sucks less.

I may be crazy, but I think this is going to be a big week for our defense. I think two turnovers - hold the Bucs to less than 90 yards rushing and less than 225 yards passing.
I swear I saw signs in the first half of that Eagles game.

our defense was almost good against the eagles. they did a decent job of containing mcnabb besides a few big plays. btw that was a fumble deep in our territory and the refs should be punched in the face.
i hope our defense steps up. the bucs offense sucks!

with 2 inexperienced qb's it will come down to turnovers and productivity
