We don't even need to open that link to know that it is B.S. "Sports Illustrated" say it all.

To say that Joe Gibbs has worn out his welcome shows how little credibility they really possess.

Utterly ridiculous.

Joe Gibbs on the same list as Randy Moss, Matt Millen, and Albert Haynesworth. LMAO.

If any coach should be on this list it's Bill Parcells, his best Cowboys season came with a team he inherited, he hasn't won a playoff game in Dallas, and in his fourth year his team looks completely average. Good job, Bill.

Thanks for posting that completely worthless piece of information.

SI obviously doesn't understand where Gibbs welcome lies and that is with us, the fans.

SI sucks.
es1790, don't worry about what they have to say about Flozell, he's still better than many others in the league at his position, and I'll take Gibbs any day over whoever they left off their moronic list.

That's preposterous. Joe Gibbs will always be welcome in DC. Shows what they know. I have not disliked SI as much as others on this board but this is the last straw. Never again.

I think this answers that question:
http://nflpa.org/Resources/ActivePlayerSearch.aspx?id=30106

2008 1000000.00
2009 4000000.00
2010 5000000.00
2011 6000000.00
2012 5000000.00

Hmm...me thinks he won't be around(especially since he gets an additional 3 million in roster bonuses during those years). Thats just base salary btw. And his contract in total was 30 million.

La Canfora wrote on his blog yesterday that he talked with some cap gurus and they think he'll stay around for one more year because it would cost more to cut him than keep him in 07. After that, he'll be gone.

Unfortunately i dont think he will be gone. We would take almost a 7mil cap hit if we were to cut him. I would rather keep him for that kind of money. I say switch him to LB. Move Springs to Safety and draft a first round corner or bring in a FA corner.

Well Flozell is the best we have now but he sure seems to turn it on and off at all the wrong times. When ur average you suck against the good guys and are great against the bad teams.

I'm not even going to address Gibbs wearing out his welcome...

With Archuleta, I think he'll be a solid player once we upgrade the defensive line. If we can play the run and get some pressure with our DLineman alone, I think Archuleta could wreak havoc in both run defense and with blitzing the QB.

well the knack on archuleta coming in was that he was great in run support, terrible in coverage. and so far this year, thats what hes been. i think hes getting so much attention because of his contract. he may not even be playing any worse.

I don't know why people read this crap. You know it's going to be biased against us. Even when writers say they're trying to compliment us, they throw in something bad. It's ridiculous and it's best to just avoid the negativity. We get enough of that by watching poor play, no reason to be kicked when we're down.

He has been bad in coverage, but I believe we're not using him the way we thought we would be. Our less-than-solid play in the front seven is forcing him to play to his weakness, and I agree that combining that with a big contract in the public's eye, and Arch is seen as a bust.

The Rams didn't have a front 7 any better than ours. And Ryan Clark played well with pretty much the same front 7. So what's Arch's problem?

I think Arch hasn't grasped Gregg Williams system yet and he is not gelling with Taylor. Arch wasn't good in coverage in St Louis either but he played in a base cover-2 there. We use an altered version of that formation sometimes but our D changes up a lot. I think Troy Vincent is starting moreso to communicate with Taylor and shore up the secondary with his veteran knowledge, than because of Arch's failures.

i think Arch is lost. Vincent is the QB of the secondary already. Taylor is not ready for that role.

i wonder if Vincent and Taylor really play side by side. if not, then my thought is, what if Vincent played free safety, and Taylor played strong safety? Taylor likes to hit and Vincent likes to cover.

Arch is like a linebacker but i dont think we need another linebacker. i think Arch is much smaller that he is listed. i dont believe he is 6'-0 and 220, i think he's more like 5'-10 and 200.

I can't really comment on his size, having never seen him up close but I think he probably weighs closer to 220 than 200. He probably stands around 5'11 1/2", those guys at 5'11" always claim to be six footers. I do know he can bench 530 lbs and can squat 660 lbs. That is simply amazing for a guy his size but it doesn't mean much if he lacks football instincts. I don't think he does, I just think he needs more coaching and to become familiar with his teammates. He didn't attend the offseason program this past year and that has to change.

i think he is smaller. he looks small on the field, in much the same way as Taylor looks big. i think Arch is like about 5'-10 and 200.

i guess it doesnt really matter though, Prioleau is about 5'-9.

I'd say the Rams, with Grant Wistrom and Leonard Little, had a better pass rush with their front line than we do. Ryan Clark did play well with the same front 7, but for whatever reason we were able to stop the run better then and blitz more effectively with our guys. This year we're not doing it, and we've been pretty banged up in the process. I'd also say that Archuleta is playing well in run defense, attacking the line and making solid tackles.

I think, because Archuleta is playing in a newer, more aggressive defensive scheme, he's a little lost when being told to do what he's not accustom to. And with the lack of pass rush being generated by the front seven (while blitzing), Arch, along with pretty much the rest of our secondary, are being hung out to dry. Teams are just gameplanning very well against us, and we're just recently adjusting.

With the jerks and idiots on that list, it looks like SI honestly just made up the list so they could throw Gibbs and Arch on there. He sucks but how has Arch worn out his welcome? He's not Moss and he's not Sapp.

Gibbs being on there with Millen is a joke. Then the morons at SI wonder why Skins fans always jump all over them.

Arch has been exploited for his poor coverage skills, but I don't think thats why GW brought him in. PP was going to spell Arch during obvious passing situatuions, but he blew his knee out 1st game of the year. That realy hurt us becasue that gave Arch way too much responsibility than he should have gotten.

But what doens't make sense to me, is that if G-Dub was only going to use him for mostly run support and not passing situations........then why in the heck would you give him that type of moola?????

I know Arch has been playing like straight doodoo, but he's not the main reason our D has been horrible.

As far as Gibbs wearing our his welcome, those at SI are full of themselves. That lost a lot of credability, because its obvious those clowns don't know what the heck they're talking about.

What I think the original plan was to use Arch as primarily a runstopper and blitzer. On first down our base package would come on the field with Arch. On second and third and long Holdman would leave and Prioleau would come in. Arch would then move up and play on the line more as aa rover and blitzer. Arch would still be playing most of the time.

Now GW is having to make changes in his cover schemes because of our problems at corner and how weak the linebacker play has been. It is pretty sad and not entirely Arch's fault.
