Greatest Redskin Memory!

I'll start.

For me, the defining moment of my love of the Skinz was Super Bowl 17, watching Riggo make "the Run" as far as Skins fans are concerned.

That was the first football game I had ever watched. I was 10 and I had a Candy bar riding on it in my 5th grade pool. I had picked the Redskins cause I thought they sounded tougher than Dolphins.

I have been a Redskins fan ever since and I still get chills whenever I see replays of "the Run".

Sunday, Oct 3rd 1995. Dallas Cowboys at Washington in RFK. My two buddies are big time Cowboy fans. They were up in Baltimore for the entire weekend talking crap about how bad the Redskins were going to get beat. I had to take it the entire weekend......that is untill we beat them. It was a lot of fun to hear them say, "wait till next time in Dallas". Funny thing is we beat them there too. Last time the Skins swept Dallas.

I remember that game. Tom Carter intercepted Wade Wilson to end the game if I remember correctly. Aikman strained his calf muscle earlier in the game. Frerotte was teh starter that game. Incidently, in the later game that year, Shuler started and beat the Cowboys, the highlight of his career.

I can't remember the year but it was the NFC Championship game (i think) when Dexter Manley ran over top of Danny White and knocked him out of the game with a concussion. The Skins went on to win the game but that memory always sticks out in my head.

That must have been the '82 NFC Championship Game. I have different memories from that day as the Jets lost to Miami 14-0 earlier. It should have been the Jets vs. 'Skins in Pasadena not the Dolphins.

yep, that is the game robert. Aikman hurt his ankle in the first or second series. He was backing away from Center and without contact...

Superbowl victory over the Bills. The only one I watched. I was 7 year old kid living in the U.K and it was after my Dad (A Niner fan) was trying to convince me that they were the best team. Not that I can argue that but it was still sweet.
